To Whom It May Concern,We are writing in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] on 6/11/14. In addition, to support our following statements, we have included the following documentation. Invoice [redacted]
 Invoice [redacted]
 Call records...

 Weather records
May 30, 2014 - A check up was performed on her asc system and documented on invoice [redacted] supplied the filter and batteries for replacement. At the time the system was operating correctly and our technician, Wesley, asked her what temperature she wanted the thermostat set to. She replied 65 so he set as requested by the customer.
The weather over the next few days was over 76 topping off in the high 80's.
5 days later on June 4, 2014 3:08pm & 8:21pm - [redacted] called stating her asc was not working. Our technician Jeff went out that night and found the unit was frozen. Jeff set the unit to thaw and returned the next day.
June 5, 2014 – Refrigerant was added to achieve proper pressures and Jeff washed the outdoor unit as well. The customer was insistent that the thermostat was the problem although he had told her it was working properly. He replaced it per her request with a Honeywell Pro 6000 digital programmable thermostat. The old one was discarded later that day as there was no reason to keep it. She was charged accordingly with no overtime or excessive charges via invoice [redacted].2 days later on June 7, 2014 8:35 am - We received a message from the customer that she wanted to discuss the bill, and in addition, threatened to take us to small claims court if this was not resolved. She threatened actions prior to discussing anything with us or allowing us the opportunity to address her concerns. We returned her call, discussed the matter and removed the charges since she made it clear that she had no intention of paying for the work performed.
Her statements are inaccurate and unsupported. The unit worked properly for approximately 5 days in hot temperatures before she called for service on the 4". It is not unheard of for a unit to develop a small leak over a short amount of time. Furthermore, it was [redacted] who supplied the batteries that she is now claiming were outdated. The thermostat that was installed is a quality [redacted] Pro 6000 digital programmable thermostat. Both invoices support our above statements and also contain her signature further documenting the work performed and her acknowledgement of such.
Therefore, there is no legitimate complaint and no further accommodations will be made by our Company in regards to this matter. I may be reached at ###-###-#### with any questions or if further information is needed.Sincerely,Jens S[redacted]

To whom it may concern:Following is an my answer to Jen S[redacted]’s response to my true and fair complaints. I have also enclosed the Invoice from the company [redacted], who corrected the problems left by LEN SCIULLI & SONS technicians. [redacted] is the company who installed this A/C system which is 9 years old.
MAY30, 2014–Scheduled A/C Checkup with Len Sciulli & Sons for $85.00. A/C was working perfectly during 80 degree temps in mid May. My thermometer was set at 65 Heat due to cold overnight temps (below 65). Technician WESLEY arrived at 9:00 a.m. to this setting. Weather was still in 60’s that morning. After Wesley did a check-up, he said everything is working properly and said he changed the batteries in the thermostat which he supplied, which I found later to be outdated “best if used by Sep. 2000”). He said he wrote on the bill that I supplied them so he wouldn’t have to charge me for them. When asked where to set temp, I did ask for 65 Heat - where it was when he arrived. I only realized several days later when I checked the present Setting, he had set it to 65 cold, causing the unit to freeze. I did reset it to 74 cold but the A/C was not working. It never worked properly for the 5 days after their May 30th checkup, which Mr. Len Sciulli claims it did. I did pay $85.00 for this A/C checkup.
JUNE 4, 2014 - I called Sciulli & Sons because A/C was not working - JEFF arrived and I tried to explain that I thought the A/C thermostat was not working. He said that the thermostat was not the problem and I believed him. After checking the A/C he said the unit was frozen and he turned it off, leaving around 4 p.m. JEFF told me to wait until 6:00 p.m. to turn back on, which I did. He was not at my house until 8:21 p.m. which Mr. Len Sciulli claims. - -
JUNE 5, 2014 - I called Sciull & Sons again because A/C was still not working. Temp’s in 80’s by mid afternoon. JEFF returned 5nd time, checking unit, etc. After a while when A/C was still not working, he then said he would replace the thermostat, which he did. I was not insistent - I did not request it, as JEFF claims!! I just thought that he decided it was the problem; but the A/C was still not working. He removed the new thermostat, then replaced it after a while. He then said unit needed refrigerant, which he added. A/C seemed to be working that evening when he left. He took my thermostat, removing the (outdated) batteries which he gave me. He wrote up the bill - I complained.
JUNE 6, 2014 – The next morning, I called and left a message for Mr. Len Sciulli to call me about the bill, which he did. My A/C was working properly prior to their check-up by WESLEY, which I believed caused the unit to freeze. I also asked for my thermostat which JEFF took. He said they threw it away which I did not believe. Mr. Len Sciulli would not admit that their checkup started the problems. However, he did agree to cancel the ridiculous bill. The following week the A/C was still not cooling properly. I called Mr Sciulli again. He Said they were very busy and would get back to me in a couple of weeks. I said this was unacceptable - he disconnected me. He had no intention of resolving my concerns, as he claims.
JUNE 19, 2014 – I called the [redacted] technician, who installed this A/C system which is only 9 years old, explaining the facts. On June 21, 2014 he inspected the AC system and found that the coils were flooded, that the unit was overcharged with refrigerant. He drained the system and corrected the problem. He also checked the thermostat and installed a back plate. (See attached invoice #2140 from [redacted], dated 6/25/2014, documenting the problems) I now have a new bill for $240.50 to correct the problems caused by Sciulli & Sons technicians, WESLEY and JEFF.
I am very disappointed that Mr. Len Sciulli chose to accuse me of making “inaccurate and unsupported statements” He needs to talk to WESLEY about the outdated batteries he replaced, lying about them being mine. He also needs to talk to JEFF about the thermostat, which he said was working properly, why he chose to replace it, claiming that I insisted, which I did not. Why did he take my thermostat, which he said was 30 years old (untrue) and throw it away, which I don’t believe. Why didn’t he just leave it with me.
Therefore, Mr. Len Sciulli can claim that this complaint is not legitimate. He can claim I am making “inaccurate and unsupported statements”, which is untrue; but that does not erase the fact that he chose to believe WESLEY and JEFF (with their mistakes), so he would not be responsible. I can only state that this company is irresponsible, and I certainly would not trust or recommend their services to anyone.Sincerely,[redacted]
