Been clients of this small business since until todayWe had brought the commercial grade Hoover CHvacuum into have the handle replaced in Septbecause it had crackedGreat they ordered the part and replaced the assembly and it cost $60, not horrible as the same part on *** is $The handle is loose according to the cleaners but they no big dealApril 2017, the handle completely falls apart as our cleaners is using itBecause it is over days since the part was sold, Anderson's wouldn't stand behind the part or workOkay, fine, we bit the bullet and replaced it for another $In February 2018, I get reports that the handle has been "loose" again since the day Anderson's replaced it and that the handle has gotten hotter over the year of useAs I am engineer, I go check out the vacuum out of curiosityThere is clear crack in the handle, and when the power is one the handle smells of burning plasticI take it apart and find there is an bare wire and it has shorted against the wiring assembling and is melting through the plastic handleI bring the handle into Anderson's and explain what I have foundEric and Walter (surprisingly rude and inflexible sales associates) refuse to give a refund or even a credit on their unprofessional and shoddy workAny reputable business should be checking for parts they install for shorts, manufacture defects, or any other potentially dangerous issueIf I were a client facing business and reselling any part, I would make sure it something I support before endangering my clientsBut not Anderson's and according to them the manufacture only stands behind their work for daysAny longer than days and if you get electrocuted or injured by a suddenly broken plastic handle, too bad The sad part is that I told Eric that I was surprised by how frequently the handles were breaking and "If there was another option such as a different model vacuum that he could credit the cost of the handle replacement too I would be happy to buy a new vacuum." I immediately refused to credit any part or work done on our vacuum because it was over daysAnderson's seems to be the type of business that doesn't take responsibility for their work and products and kicks the can down the roadUnacceptable, I should be suing Anderson's for endangering our cleanersWell sadly for them, I bought a brand new vacuum from someone else today with a year warranty on parts and a service agreementFeel like this is going to be a lesson learned for me and hopefully Eric as a currently very rude person and poor salesman
On November 26,I called Anderson's Vacuum and talked to Annie who answered phone I asked her if she was in a good mood, she said she was, and then I said 'good"I wasn't I began talking about the experience I had had with one of their competitors She said she knew themWhen I had finished talking with her, I decided to go in and talk further about the problem I had encountered with that other competitor When I went in, she had already discussed the situation with the mgrEricIn my explaining the situation I experienced with the other competitor, they offered to let me use a loaner vacuum until we could get the problem solved While Annie was busy on the computer accessing my information as to the warranty, I was looking around the store eying a different brand, which was $more expensive than the one I had Eric, then walked over to me and explained the features & benefits of the new one I decided to buy the new vacuum and now am the owner of two vacuums Eric gave me a reduction on the purchase of the new one, and now need to sell the vacuum I was having a problem with I experienced the most satisfying encounter with any business, to date
