This response is in follow up to the above referenced complaint filed by Mr. [redacted].
Please note...
that Mr. [redacted] went to contract with Lennar Homes on August 26, 2014, to purchase a new home in the [redacted] community located in [redacted], South Carolina.
To finance the home Mr. [redacted] applied for a mortgage with [redacted], the mortgage division of Lennar Homes. On September 16, 2014 Mr. [redacted] was given a conditional loan approval contingent upon supplying the lender with the balance of the required documents required to process the loan. Mr. [redacted] subsequently refused to supply the necessary documents that were required to process the loan.
As a result of Mr. [redacted]’s refusal to comply with the mortgage lending requirements for documentation, the loan was canceled on November 19, 2014 for “incompleteness”. Additionally, as a result of his non-compliance his earnest money was forfeited.
In subsequent conversations with Mr.[redacted] and the Lennar New Home Consultant, [redacted], Mr. [redacted] indicated that he wished to move forward with the purchase of the home and would obtain financing through another lender or would pay cash. On December 9th, Mr. [redacted] confirmed via a text that Mr. [redacted] had changed his mind and would not be moving forward.
