To Whom This May Concern:
Complaint # [redacted]. I have received an email on 7/26/16 from the VP at Lennar Homes.. His comments were,"I have reviewed this concern with Sandra and understand she met with you.  It appears the appliance is performing as designed.  We install this appliance in thousands of homes operating just like yours.  I understand ** offered a replacement or to reimburse you for the cost of the microwave as a compromise.  I understand it may not be acceptable for you personally.  It does not appear that the microwave or cabinets have dama**.  I do believe it is a reasonable solution.  We appreciate your feedback and of course respect your freedom to pursue other remedies.  We hope you will accept this as a good compromise."
Again, my concern is that the home that I purchased came with the appliances included. The micorwave that is designed for this home is putting out moisture onto the top cabinets. There is no dama** yet but after time there will be. Lennar will be long gone and I will have to pay for replacement cabinets. I am not concerned with this appliance being installed in other homes. My concern is the one I have paid thousands of dollars for and this needs to be corrected by Lennar. This is one of the products they chose and I just so happened to notice it. All parties ( VP, designers of the microwave have been in my home) are aware of the moisture coming out of the microwave onto the cabinets and no one is listening. I have an appliance in my home that is not working for the space that it is in and I would like to have it replaced. I should not have to settle by taking $400.00 from ** for the microwave, going to look for a replacement microwave, pay to have someone install it. This is more that $400.00. A big corporation like Lennar should be more than happy to work with the customer. I have been trying to **t this resolved for over 2 yrs. now and this is not good business. The VP's comments as stated above there appears to be no dama** to the microwave. My point is there is no dama** now. What happens down the road. Every day that goes by and the microwave is being used those cabinets are having moisture put on them. Who will pay for replacement cabinets. I don't have that kind of money to replace something that should be replaced before it needs to be. This is not a good compromise because Lennar is not willing to fix the problem. $400.00 is a drop in the bucket to them. I will accept a microwave that is not damaging the cabinets in my home. I see the moisture streak each time the microwave is used and it is upsetting and I am suppose to compromise considering the price I paid for this home. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I am not a satisfied Lennar Homeowner.

+1

Lennar and ** have inspected the original and subsequent microwaves on numerous occasions.  Lennar and ** found both microwaves to be...

performing per manufacturers specifications.  Lennar replaced as a courtesy, the original microwave for Customer Satisfaction.   Both the original and subsequent microwaves were or are performing as intended. By simply turning on the fan during operation, any normal moisture escaping is relieved by the fan drawing moisture to the exterior.   Per the ** Owners Manual it states:

“Things That Are Normal With Your Microwave Oven
??Steam or vapor escaping from around the door.”

This home is over two years old and there is no evidence of cabinet dama** at this time.  Thank you

In response to complaint ID number [redacted].   Service was performed on an over eight year old, out of warranty home. Leak was repaired and water heater replaced by Lennar as a courtesy.

[On 2/26/2014, the builder adjusted the doors in question instead of replacing two of them as they promised on 2/12/14 & 2/21/14.  The testimonial to their work is to find out how the doors are functioning in the next few months.  I am requesting that the builder guarantee their adjustment to the doors for a few additional months past the summer and into the winter (for expansion and contraction), and if the doors continue to function correctly, then the case will be closed.  The guarantee must be in writing and if doors stop functioning correctly, full door replacements will be required.
I am still requesting that the concrete in the garage be epoxy sealed due to bad workmanship. ]
