According to your letter, Mr*** stated to the Revdex.com that he had his motor rebuilt at my business months agoMy records show that the work that I did for him was not months ago, but was done last year in October 2013, and did not include the “rebuilding” of a motorI have never “rebuilt” a motor for Mr***
The issue he has with his motor involves the “gear housing”, which is where gear shifting occursHe brought this to me in October in a box, in pieces, completely disassembled by another boat repair shop in AlbanyHe was dissatisfied for some reason with that shop and he brought the boat and motor to meHe told me that he wanted me to “put the gear housing back together" and do other unrelated repairs to his motor, which I did for him
Now, months later, he has a problem with parts I did not sell to him but he expects me to fix it for him under warranty These are original parts which were “out of warranty" over years agoThe warranty repair process includes “repair labor“ which is time and work to diagnose a problem, remove and replace parts, a concept that seems to have escaped Mr ***’s thought process
Mr***’s problem is simpleHe has an aging, high maintenance, boat and motor and seems to expect others to finance his fishing habitsAlso, he seems to have convinced himself that he is more knowledgeable than those of us who have worked in the boat business professionally for 50+ years, as I have
Apparently, Huggins Outboard, did not extend charity to him nor did his insurance company for the "supposed claim“ he made for the "supposed collision" he had last year, and I will not be offering him charity either
I am reserving other information and certain items of detail for testimony under oath at the appropriate time and place
