I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]As my original complaint explained, I booked the room through [redacted] in my name, [redacted].  My mother gave me permission to use her credit card to reserve the room. It was never booked in my Mother's name.  I received a confirmation of that booking from [redacted] which provided a booking number.  When I went to the front desk to check in, as I mentioned, I gave the clerk my name, but she could not find a reservation.  I took out my cell phone and told her I had the confirmation on my phone.  She did not ask to see it nor ask for the booking number.  I spoke with Booking.com after this incident and they confirmed the reservation was indeed made by me and that all the hotel would have had to do, was look it up with the booking number, which they did not.  The reservation was never in my Mother's name nor did I have to produce that credit card at the time of checking in.  I only used it to reserve the room and was going to either pay cash or use my debit card at that time.  Either way, the Hotel, again as is clear to see by their response, fails to address nor take any responsibility for their inefficiency in obtaining the proper information to search for the reservation.  And even more offensive, fails to acknowledge the terrible customer service to me while I was attempting to resolve the matter.  I did not deserve such ignorant treatment and feel I should be compensated for it.  Again, as my complaint notes, the Hotel did credit my Mother's account for the "no show" because we got [redacted] involved in reaching out to them for it.  My debit card was used to pay for the hotel room I was forced to settle for and is the issue I am currently requesting some or all of a refund on.

The room was booked in the mothers name through [redacted] and using her card. Like all hotels, the person whose card is used, must be the one to check in as the card needs to be presented. This consumer came in and stated it was his card and in his name. Not true. The room in question was being...

held for his mother as that is how it came through [redacted]. In the end, we have refunded the no show charge to his mothers card. We will not refund him, or discount for his room as it was his error in booking that caused the issue.
