My hot water heater broke down on 1/9/They came to my home and told me I needed a new heater and they never called back with a dateI am an year old woman and live alone in my homeOn Thursday 1/9/my hot water heater broke and my basement flooded and my heat stoppedThis company showed up along with the fire dptand told me the oil burning hot water heater that I have was brokenThey did not turn the heat back on even though the fireman told him to make sure he did so and I spent the night at degrees with no heatThey had to come back the next day to turn on the heat and told me they had to order a new heaterOn Monday 1/13/I called them to find out when the new tank would be ready and they told me they had no answer and I would have to waitI was without hot water daysI called another company Monday 1/and they came over the same day and showed up today 1/and are now installing the tankI called to cancel with the Leominster home plumbing and was dismissed by thier officeI am afraid that they will be charging me lots of money for doing nothing and I now have to pay another company $[redacted] for the new tankThey still have never called me backDesired SettlementI do not want to be charged for them for the careless servicesBusiness Response February 12, 2014Revdex.com Serving Central & Western Massachusetts & Northern Connecticut [redacted]WorcesterMA XXXXXAttention: [redacted]RE: Case # XXXXXX - Mrs_ [redacted]To Mr[redacted]In regards to Mrs[redacted]'s complaint on 01/15/with your office, on 1/09/we received in our office a frantic call from Mrs[redacted] stating that she her basement flooded with water but didn't know where it was coming from and the fire department was thereThe dispatcher who answered the call looked her up in the system and she hasn't used our service in over years since one of our plumbers left to go to start his own businessAfter [redacted] recognized who she was she immediately dispatched one of our technicians to assess the situationWhen the technician arrived he discovered that her oil fired water heater let goThe fire department had strut the breaker off for Safety reasons prior to our arrivalThe technician informed Mrs[redacted] of the situation and wrote down the information off the old water heater for the office to order a new oneHe turned her breaker back on as well as replaced a valve to get her heat back onShe called the office and spoke to [redacted] and asked what will happen next[redacted] explained to Mrs[redacted] that the oil fired water heater that she has is one that we don't stock at our shopWe needed to call our supplier to order one for her in which we didOur supplier called us on Friday 01/10/and informed us that they were out of stock as well and ordered one to come in Monday afternoon, Mrs[redacted] called the office on Friday afternoon and was upset no one had called with the install date[redacted] apologized and stated she was on her list to call but the office was overwhelmed with emergency callsAt this time [redacted] explained to Mrs[redacted] that the supply company had to order this type of water heater which was coming in on Monday 01/13/and she would call her on Monday to set up a time Ibr the install.On Monday [redacted] checked with the supply company to find out when the water heater was coming in and was told it this afternoon hut couldn't give us a timeMrs[redacted] did call Monday morning and [redacted] told her she could not give her a time at this point but stated she would call her immediately when she had the answersIn the mean time Mrs[redacted]'s daughter called the office and spoke to [redacted] and stated that she had called another company to do the install[redacted] said to her ok and that she understands and the daughter wanted to continue to talk about the situation and argueThe daughter did call back later and spoke to [redacted] and stated Mrs[redacted]'s case to him and that she was not going to pay any bills that we sendI told that she would not he charged for that service call even though it is billableI spoke to the owner prior to the phone call and the owner told me that he would waive it.The daughter then stated to [redacted] that she would file a complaint with the Revdex.com to ensure she does not receive a billMrs[redacted] states in her complaint that we have not yet called her back but in regards to what? When the daughter called and cancelled our services, there was no need to call her backLeominster Plumbing & Heating Cofelt this matter was closed.To date Mrs[redacted] has not received a bill from Leominster Plumbing & Heating Co., IncSo I am left puzzled to why this complaint was even filed.Thank you, [redacted]Cc: mltFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My daughter only spoke with the woman [redacted] in the office onceShe never gave me or my daughter a date on when they expected the new water tankI am not sure this part about speaking with a person named [redacted]The reason I wrote to Revdex.com is that my daughter asked for confirmation that they would not charge me for a heater that I never reccievedI never heard back from them after my daughter called and cancelled with [redacted]Why would they evaluate my account based on past history if I am calling for serviceI do not understand why someone that left their company matters when they took my callThey simply could have told me that they were not available if they held some sort of grudge that I was not a regular customerIt would have saved me multiple days of no hot waterI am fine that there is no bill.Final Business Response RE: Case # XXXXXX -- Mrs[redacted] -- Final Response To Mr[redacted] O'Hara:In regards to Mrs[redacted]'s rebuttal on 02118/with your office and your request for us to move to a middle ground, we feel that Leominster Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc already did-Mrs[redacted] spoke to [redacted] on that Monday to find out when the water heater was going to be installed[redacted] explained to her that she had paged [redacted] the owner to find outHe was on and emergency call and he had not responded back[redacted] told Mrs[redacted] she would call her as soon as he called into the officeShortly after, Mrs- [redacted]'s daughter called and cancelled out the service callLater on that afternoon [redacted] had stepped out and [redacted] was answering calls when Mrs[redacted]'s daughter called backShe did ask for [redacted] but was told she had stepped out and if he could take a message or if there was something he could help her withThat is when she explained Mrs[redacted]'s situation to [redacted]He explained to Mrs[redacted]'s daughter he understood and that he had spoken to [redacted] early and he was going to waive the charges for Mrs[redacted][redacted] felt that if Mrs[redacted] was having her daughter call to speak on her behalf there was no need to call Mrs[redacted] back for confirmationAs Mrs[redacted] stated in her rebuttal she wrote to the Revdex.com to ensure she would not receive a billAgain to date Mrs[redacted] has not received a bill from Leominster Plumbing & Heating Co- IncIn response to evaluating her account and holding a grudge, we always review customers accounts before heading out on a service call for several reasons -- they may owe company money, may be the tenant and not the owner, or to check information is current etcRegardless of length or priority dispatching, both [redacted] and [redacted] recognized Mrs[redacted] immediately when she called and [redacted] did respond to Mrs[redacted]'s frantic callWhen you have been in business for over years and a staple in the community you never forget your customersObviously there was no grudge held against Mrs[redacted].Mrs[redacted] and her daughter did not want to receive a bill for any services from Leominster Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc_ To date, Mrs[redacted] has not been billed which was already stated to her daughter by [redacted], Alter [redacted] spoke to her daughter that afternoon we considered this matter closed and again we apologized that Mrs[redacted] was inconvenienced
