We respect the clients opinion regarding this matter and apologize if she felt she was not treated as she expected. Some employees have a language barrier and they are working on improving their skills....

America is build on immigrants and they should not be discriminated or discouraged from work. We will ensure this matter does not occur again and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused the client. However, the service was provided to the best of their ability. We do have master stylists with whom clients can schedule their appointments. Groupon deals are marketed to clients to introduce new staff. Once again, we will discuss this matter with staff and urge compliance with all ethical rules and regulations of the salon.

Review: On March **,2014, I have visited Leon & Co salon for an apponintment at 4:30pm. I have a purchased a groupon for this estailshment which included partia highlights deep conditioning, hair cut and style. The highlights were done by one person and were medicore not up to par along with a very imbicle deep conditioning treatment. I then proceeded to get a "trim: in defintation a trim is 1-2 cm I measured my hair it was cut 5cm unevely by unprofessional rude woman who I explained clearly I did not wan cutting my hair from the geico. I asked for a trim and she contined to cut more hair aggressively without listening to my pleas. Further, the package continued a style however with a short hair cut I did not want the style was inevitable challenging it is impossible to make short hair wavy and presentable. I have a very demanding career that requires a certain look. I shuldnt have to beg a professional they should acknoweldge my wishes and provide me with a service I paid for. The staff were rude speaking in different lanagues about the customer luckly I speak 3 langages and understand all the inappropriate and unprofessional remarks. I understand groupon is a different entity and they too heard about this awful expiernce. If a business does not honor their groupon deals and act like the person that purchases them I beneath them or some kind of a savage they should not be in business let alone offer new deals to new customers. Prior to visiting the salon I saw 3/5 stars on ylep and did not bother reading the reviews which I regard I didnt because many of women had similar experiences if not more awful. I am not as interested in a refund as I am for justice. People should not treat completely unsuspcting customers like [redacted] I am an inspiring physcian and yes to save money on hair treatment purchased a groupon to supoustely an exceptional business or so they claim on the web and was treated poorly. I am utterly dissaponinted and would like immediate action.Desired Settlement: I have contacted the salon directly via email without response. I have also contacted groupon. I would like to be reimbursed for both groupon (59$) and a very undeserved 20$ for the terrible staff that works there. Although this will mot cover the cost of extentions, but it is a start. If this is impossible I will consdier filing a small claim suit.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I appreciate the salon's apology, however it does not resolve the dilemma and/or is belittling to me. There was no language barrier during the time of the appointment. I speak Hebrew, Russian and Spanish all the languages that were used at the salon during my session, so to say that it was a miscommunication due to language is a cop out and an understatement in order to avoid acknowledgment. I too am an immigrant and this has nothing to do with my issue. It is the lack of professionalism. The owner does not stand by his groupon deals (as stated by Yelp and yahoo review on many of occasions). It de-values the offer if new customers are treated as peasants and are not respected.

Sincerely,

Review: I visited the salon with a [redacted] deal for a full head of highlights and a cut. The [redacted] told another stylist to take me. Once she was done, the salon was closing and I left. When I got home, I carefully examined the highlights and the cut, and found major flaws. The Bleach from the highlights bled all over my roots, as the hair was wrapped improperly in tin foil. This left my hair with orange and yellow spots. The rest of the highlights were uneven and the cut was blunt leaving my hair "chopped" off instead of layered. I contacted the salon the next morning and asked to come in and have the mistake fixed, since that is what the salon's policy is on their website. The [redacted] yelled at me telling me that he had no time for me, and that since I bought a [redacted] deal, I received "cheap" service. He concluded by telling me not to come back to the salon. On top of spending the $79 for the [redacted] deal that the salon offered, the [redacted] charged me an extra $50 for a color. After he refused to fix the mistake of another stylist, I was forced to spend another $280 to rescue my hair and bring it back to a normal state. My hair however, because of the unnecessary stress is now damaged and will take months to heal and grow back to what it used to be.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $79 I paid for the Groupon deal, the $50 the salon owner charged me extra, and at least $150 of the cost I had to spend to get my hair fixed at another salon.
