Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/06/23) */
LCS, Incwas hired to do a master bath remodelThe job was completed in a timely manorUpon final inspection by client the job was payed in fullBeing a satisfied client, LCS, Incwas asked to redo the kitchen floorAfter an agreed price
was determined the job was taken on by LCS, IncI, *** ***, am not alone LCS, IncWe are a small business that employs consistently the same group of subcontractorsWe are very fortunate to have more than one job going on at any given time which does not allow me to be on every job site at all timesTo redo the kitchen floor several layers of self adhesive vinyl and linoleum were removed to leave a base of one quarter inch plywood that was glued and stapled to the sub floor which is a standard vinyl floor underlaymentLCS, Incapplied one quarter inch *** *** tile backer to the quarter inch plywoodIt was adhered using thin set mortar (not mastic)The thin set mortar was applied with a 1/inch by 1/inch notched trowelTile backer was laid over the thin set and screwed down with one and a quarter inch tile backer screws in a eight inch patternThis is the standard method to meet manufacturers protocolAfter that had set for at least hours LCS, Incapplied the tile that was picked out by clientIt was adhered to the tile backer with thin set mortar (not mastic)The thin set was spread using a 3/inch by 3/inch notched trowel which is required for any tile that measures over sixteen inches by sixteen inchesAfter the tiles set for at least hours a sanded grout was applied to all joints between tilesAfter the grout dried for at least hours a sealer was applied to the groutThe client was advised of the correct time limit before floor trafficAfter not seeing myself for a majority of the kitchen floor job the client became disgruntled and started complaining about the work that had been doneAfter this realization I tried to please the client by redoing several tiles in the center section of the floorAfter the kitchen tile had been redone and job completed the client paid in fullA few weeks went by and the client started complaining that LCS, Inc'sinstallation of the kitchen tile was done incorrectlyThe client said she was going to get estimates from another contractor to fix LCS, Inc'smistakesI heard nothing for months so it was assumed by LCS, Incthat the client realized that our installation was correctOn Sunday, May at 11:pm I received several texts from client basically saying she was going to sue LCS, IncThis is eleven months after the job was finished and payed forLCS, Incfeels that there should be absolutely no compensation to clientAs all the work performed meets or exceeds manufacturers specification for said productsLCS, Incis able to provide a substantial list of satisfied costumers as references that will vouch for LCS, Inc'sprofessionalism, quality, and craftsmanshipLCS, Inchas been doing business in the St.Louis area for six yearsThis is our first and only complaint
