Review: In late Spring of this year high winds blew off a piece of the metal fascia trim on our house. I was able to find the piece but the ends were damaged so it needed to be replaced. Around the middle of June this company was doing work on another house in the neighborhood so I stopped to ask if they could replace this piece of trim. I was told sure, not a problem. I provided my address and a few days later they came by to pick up the old piece so the matching metal could be ordered.

Several weeks went by and they finished the other job in the neighborhood but they did not complete my small job. So I called on June 30 and the recorded message stated they were on vacation and would return July 7. I left a message asking about the status of my repair.

I never received a call back so I called again on July 22 and had to leave a message – no return call for this message.

I called again on August 5 and the owner did answer but said he was operating a bobcat but would call be back in about 20 minutes – I never received a return call.

I called back again on August 26 and the owner did answer but this time and stated he was on a ladder and would call me back in 5 minutes – I never received a return call.

I called again on September 15 and had to leave a message – no return call

My last call was on October 8 and I spoke with the owner’s son. I requested a return call from the owner and the return of the piece of trim he picked up almost 4 months ago. He said he would relay the message to the owner – no return call and the piece of trim has not been returned. While I have been waiting for a response from this company for the past 4 months my house has been subject to water damage and insects due to the missing trim.

It has now been more than a week from my last attempt to contact this company and due to the lack of any type of effort to complete this work or return my calls, I am left with no option other than file a complaint to establish a record of this non-performance and pattern of not responding to customer calls.Desired Settlement: Return of the piece of fascia took from my house so I can order the correct color metal and locate a reliable company to complete this repair.

[redacted] stated he had delivered trim samples to the consumer today. Original trim color was discontinued, Mr. [redacted] needs to select a color and let [redacted] know; he will order and install. Please call or text him for additional information.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The company did return the piece of trim on October 30; however, I met with a different company on Oct 23rd and they found that the color was not discontinued but agreed to do the work needed and told me they could complete the work on Saturday, October 25th - which they did. This new individual returned phone calls and was able to fix a problem in 2 days that I had waited for over 4 months for a response from the other company.
