I initially bought a nice reclining couch and loveseat. It began coming apart at the seams, but was told by one of their repairmen that it was 'normal'. in the end, I finally got Leon's to realize that this wasn't the case.

Couch and loveseat #2...zippers attaching cushions to base (arms) kept breaking. I complained and for almost a year, I had to be constantly checking in with them to see what was going on with my request (very lacking in customer communication). I was so frustrated one day that I asked to speak to a manager who wasn't much better. Here name is [redacted] for short).

Yes, she got me an exchange on my couch, but when I was told the people who spray protect the furniture would call me in 3 days and they didn't...I sent her an email and asked why. She didn't know and would contact them. Then she replied by telling me that since I requested a refund, no one would be coming. I asked for a copy of the cheque and a copy of the form I signed agreeing to the refund. She couldn't provide proof of my request, but quoted me cheque number and amount.

Seems that I called in August, very frustrated by the lack of customer service, and requested a refund on my ENTIRE purchase. The CSR didn't include that in her notes.

I don't care about the furniture...I will spray myself. It is the whole concept.

When I pay a lot of money on something, I expect there to be good customer service. The fact that it took almost a year to settle is not acceptable!

I don't want anyone to go thru what I just experienced.

I went to Leon's to purchase a t.v. asked the salesman a few questions, one being, can |I hook up my computer to the tv...he said yes. So I purchased it. When I had the tv hooked up, I was surprised to find that NO I cannot hook up my computer to the tv.
And what's worse, the tv stopped working after 24 hours. I called the store with the impression I would receive an apology and an exchange. Neither happened. They sent an ** representative to fix my BRAND NEW TV. This store has no customer service and does not care about it's customers. They purchased the tv from **, I purchased the tv from Leon's. They took my money and did not care about my inconvenience or my frustration. This store deserves to CLOSE.

On the last week of October 2016 I purchased a couch at full retail price of $699, and paid for delivery of this item as well. The sales person assured me that if this item went on sale I could come back and use the price protection within 60 days. Today we are not yet at 60 days.

My Sofa went on sale two or even three times now. Today it is on sale for $399, black friday it was on sale for 199. I went in to the store to ask for my price proctection and was originally told "No , nothing we can do" then Phil the manager on the floor told me he would see what he could do. Came back out of his office and said I'll give you $200 back plus tax, for a refund of $226. I said thats not the total amount, and stated that I don't understand how their policy is so misleading. I asked for the money of course and they said they would have to mail me a cheque. I asked the receptionist how long it should take to get my cheque and the answer was 2 weeks, well it has now been 3 weeks so I called the store and am being given the run around, told that they would call me back, still nothing.

Oh and the delivery guy broke an ornament that we got as a gift for our wedding! Should I ask for a cheque in the mail for that too? Maybe I will get that sometime next year?

NOT IMPRESSED. I am in retail and would take big flack for this level of service. I want my money, and I am not prepared to wait for it.

[redacted] I WENT TO THE LEONS BOXING DAY BLOWOUT AND IT WAS AWFUL. THEY RAN OUT OF DOORCRASHERS TO THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF EVERYONE STANDING IN LINE. [redacted] THEY DIDN'T TELL ME THAT SETUP IS NOT INCLUDED WITH DELIVERY AND THEY DELIVERED, THREW THE BOXES ON THE FLOOR AND RAN!!!!!!!!!

I bought a stove from Leon's in Mississauga on Britannia. I was told that the [redacted] stove was a self clean . I was told this by the sales rep. I bought it for my new house in August 2013. I had a technician to come and repair it because the self clean feature was not working. When the Technician he said to my husband that the stove I bought was not a full self clean stove. I was not impress all. I will not buying anything from Leon's again.

We bought a faux leather couch from Leon's about 2 years ago with the protection plan. The sales person said it would cover everything, so we paid the extra few hundred.

After just over a year, the couch began to crack. They would not replace this. We fought with them numerous times and they finally came and replaced the cushion that had the issue. Even though it didn't line up fully, we were satisfied as we didn't have to get a new couch.

About 4 months later, the cushion started to tear, which they wouldn't cover it again. During this time, the threading started coming out as well, which made the whole material start to pull away from the couch. We spent more time fighting with them and they finally agreed to give us a 50% credit. We needed a couch as this was our main living room, so we agreed.

We went into Leon's and spent hours looking around, but couldn't find a couch that we liked that would work. We then decided to use the credit for other things in our living room. We chose a TV mount, but when we went to use the credit, we were told it had to be used in the furniture department. Even though this was not mentioned to us before hand, we went ahead and bought the mount anyways. The store was getting ready to close, so we had to come back another day to find things that we could use the credit for.

Since there were no couches at Leon's for us, we found one somewhere else and had it delivered. We put out the old couch on the curb as it looked awful now at this point. We went back to Leon's after getting the couch to get some things in furniture that worked with the new colours. We spent hours again trying to find the right things and found a nice TV stand and coffee table that we liked. We had some remaining credit, so also put it towards a new mattress. When we were paying for the furniture, the sales person asked if they would be picking up the old couch. We told her that it was already gone, which she said ok and continued to process the order.

When the furniture was being delivered, they asked us for the old couch. We again told them we don't have it anymore. They wouldn't drop off the furniture because of this. We again talked to numerous people and they said we didn't get the credit because they needed the old couch back. At no time were we ever told by any of the people we spoke to that they needed the old couch back. They wouldn't do anything for us after this.

We are now left without anything from Leon's for their [redacted] couch and warranty and tons of hours wasted in the store and on the phone. We have returned all items we purchased. I will never, ever recommend or go to Leon's again, nor will any of my family or friends. We hope that this gets out to others so they don't make the same mistake as us.

I cancelled an order for which I gave a 300$ cash deposit. I have been waiting over 12 business days for a reimbursement. I have called the store from where I had purchased the items...they would not give me the phone number of Leon's Head Office.?? She said she is not authorized and that I should look it up on the Internet. ?? Thank you for your help!! EVERYWHERE I shop...if I give CASH...we are INSTANTANIOUSLY REFUNDED with INTERAC or cash. LEON'S REALLY NEEDS TO IMPROVE THEIR REFUND Policy for CASH! I WAS ALSO TOLD TODAY THAT SHE CAN NO LONGER FIND ME IN THE COMPUTER. UGH!!!!!

We have bought a coffee table and a TV stand on Oct. 2nd 2016 and fully paid the price at the time of purchase. They delivered the furniture on Dec. 23rd. 2016. Finally when we received the furniture 82 days after the date of purchase we saw number of damages on the coffee table. Since then we are trying to contact the customer service and waiting someone to answer. Despite our numerous attempts we have not had a chance to contact a service representative.

I purchased a recliner with faux leather fabric from their online website and picked it up at the North Edmonton location. When I picked it up they didn't allow me to open the box up at the store to check it. When I got home and unpacked it, I saw that there was a huge permanent crease in the fabric on the front of the seat back which was quite noticeable. It wasn't an actual manufacturer's defect but was due to the way the chair back was packaged. I called customer service to let them know that I wasn't happy about the quality of the product and indicated to them that I wanted to return it. They told me that all furniture sales were final and if I wanted to return it, I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee. So for a $500 chair, I would have to pay a $125 fee to return it. I couldn't believe what she was telling me! When I placed my order online, none of the emails I received as part of the process indicated this. She said that their 'no refund' policy was stated on the back of the sales invoice that was given to me at the store when I picked up my item, which was after my visa had already been charged when I purchased it online and before I actually got to inspect it. So bottom line is - if you purchase anything from them online, you better hope you like the quality of it as they will charge you 25% of the price to return it, even if it is the same day that you picked it up. I will never deal with Leon's again.
