Leo's Appliance Repair Reviews (7)

Here is the third party clarification invoice. I did not get the [redacted] invoice because the technician came to service my heater and did a gratuity inspection on it, so I paid for this service to be done on the appliance. If you have any questions, [redacted] the technician from Pro Edge Services said you can contact him for any questions or clarification. Respectfully,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  Leo’s Appliances is not a ** service provider. I called ** Consumer Relations directly and at no time whatsoever did they acknowled** Leo’s Appliance to be affiliated with **.  Furthermore, a factory trained ** certified technician/representative came to my home and diagnosed the washer. Attached you will find the diagnosis. The technician states the basket on the washer has been broken for some time, which is the same diagnosis [redacted] previously concluded. This is how I purchased them from the beginning and had problems since day one. Leo’s Appliance has been dishonest since day one, as they previously stated I dropped the washer from six feet up in the air. It’s unfortunate that an operating business would be dishonest and make false accusations towards a consumer, just to not be held liable/responsible for their machine. I would like a full refund and I will gladly have the washer and dryer delivered to the business. Thank you,[redacted]

On 9/27/2014 we sold a used washer & dryer set with a 30 day warranty redeemable at our local shop, Mr. [redacted], who owns a crane operation business came to the shop with the crane to pick up the appliances  and with our help we loaded both to his crane. He called us back the following day...

on 9/28/2014 & said that he had dropped the washer while he was unloading it to his home & was asking how much possible damage could have occurred due to a 6 foot drop.
On 10/5/2014 he called us back with a dryer problem. On Sunday  left a message to bring the dryer back to the shop for an evaluation and he did so on 10/06/2014. We ordered a Main power board (See attachment) and told him on10/07/2014 that the dryer was ready to be picked up.
On 10/23/2014 called us with washer another washer issue as it was making a noise & we mentioned to him that when he dropped it he could face an issue with either shocks or other issues. We offered to order 2 shocks, however shortly thereafter he told our technician that he already started to repair it himself & he needed only 2 shocks that we gladly ordered for him. After making two attempts to call the customer to have him come pick up his ordered parts we received the complaint letter from Revdex.com.

I am rejecting this response because:
Good afternoon,
I had a technician from [redacted] diagnose the washer, and he stated the washer’s bearing is out. He stated the bolts were just tightened and I need to replace the whole drum. It’s a shame that Leo’s Appliances has no respect for the Revdex.com, as they are willing to be dishonest in regards to this situation. The washer and dryer were under no circumstances ever dropped, as one of my neighbors physically helped me unload them from my truck. The Revdex.com is more than welcome to send an investigator to my home to physically look at and/or diagnose the washer. This will prove it is in the same condition as it was when we purchased it from Leo’s Appliances. Their dishonesty is absurd, as a 6 foot drop of a washer weighing over 200 pounds would be catastrophic. It’s obvious; they are attempting to take advantage of a customer and now the Revdex.com with their dishonesty. I most definitely did not call them, telling them I dropped the washer. Attached is a photo of the washer and dryer side by side in my home with no damage, which would’ve been caused if the washer would’ve fallen. In regards to the phone calls, Leo’s Appliances did not attempt to contact me twice with no response. Please put yourself in my situation, as I am a customer with a family, who just lost $800 on a washer and dryer, there is no reason why I wouldn’t have responded. It truly is a shame that a dishonest business, willing to lie about something like this, is still in business in this county. There should be repercussions for people making false allegations. Please feel free to send an investigator and/or your own technician to obtain the true facts, as the washer was in no way ever dropped. The truth of the matter is, Leo’s Appliances sold me a non-working washer. I would like to return the washer and dryer for a full refund so I could purchase my family a working set.
Respectfully,
Mr. [redacted]

Business states that they disagree with the consumer statement. Business has been a ** certified servicer since 2003, Account #9VV65. But that is not the issue here. Business understands that the diagnosis made by [redacted] may indeed be correct, but that is not the condition it was in when it was returned to the customer. Business informed consumer the the warranty would be voided if he chose to do the repairs himself. Due to the fact that customer did not give business the opportunity to resolve the issues and customer doing the repairs himself, business is not financially responsible for any further repairs. With that said and as a courtesy to the customer, business is willing torefund the customer $200 for the return of the washing unit.

Review: Back on 9/27/14 I purchased a used set GE washer and dryer from this business. I was given a 30 Day Warranty with purchase and I was assured there were no defects or problems with these machines. It took just one try and my dryer was not working correctly I contacted them that day took it back on 9/28/14 and was given back on 10/13/14. Once I got it back I started to use washer it was making a load noise I contacted the seller again and was very rude I sent a video and was told by the owner it was the shock absorbers and to just order them I told him its still under warranty and he told me to call back with the model number I tried various times and no answer. So I went ahead and bought four shocks on the 10/20/14 and received on 10/24/14 I installed them and paid 143 dollars they did nothing the washer still makes load noises and shakes when it is in spin mode. Contacted seller no answer.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back the dryer still doesn't work appropriately and washer is getting worse I would take the washer and dryer back due to more problems to come do to seller taking a long time for response and repair.

Review: Leo's Appliance did not fix our dishwasher with the part that he said would fix it said he would call me back in 2 days with a solution but didn't.

Leo's Appliance came out 10/3/2013 to diagnois the problem with our dishwasher. On the display it would flash PF and would not run. He stated it was the control box. I paid him for coming out and he said he would call me back with the price in a few days which was 10/6/13. He came out with the control box on 10/9/2013 installed it but the control box did not fix the dishwasher it still was flashing PF. He left in a hurry with the dishwasher full of water (told me I would have get the water out by hand not to turn the dishwasher on) he also told me he would call me in two days with a solution. Which he did not. Being frustrated with the situation I called him on 10/13//2013 and told him to come and pickup the installed control box that we were going down another route. Come to find out there was nothing wrong with our dishwasher the problem was we had a twin breaker switch which was burned out on one side. Now I get a call from him today 10/22/13 that he was going to put a Mechanic's Lien on our property if I didn't pay for the control box and the other part he ordered which I did not authorize. I told him again he could come and pick up the part but he refused.Desired Settlement: To pick up the control box and not put a Mechanic's Lien against our property.
