Response: I received a Complaint in the mail sent from you all in response to a complaint filed against me by a Mr. [redacted]. My response is this. I was hired by [redacted] to do drywall work and skim coating. I went with Mr. [redacted] to [redacted]r on (9-25-17) He purchased the...

drywall and I hauled it over to the designated property. When I came back on Tuesday (9-26-17) The scope of the work was completely altered by the actions and repercussions of the demolished work done by Mr. [redacted]. He tore down a wall that was not in the original contract and requested me to start there first. I told him that instant that this is added work and to complete the job in whole he would have to purchase more materials to make up for the additional work he had caused and wanted. He agreed. I installed a whole kitchen wall and Bathroom wall. Both that was more than previously agreed and discussed on. On 9-28-17 I started the work of installing over 950 sqft of drywall. That same day of 9-28-17 Mr. [redacted] said, "It looks great." to myself and my father who was helping me that day. On 9-29-17 I continued working on the upstairs of installing and mudding. On 9-30-27 I returned to continue work on the up stairs. I brought another helper in to help thing continue to go forward. On 9-30-17 Mr. [redacted] and myself were at the house. I had to stop to tell him that he has added extra work as stated before and to 100% finish the job from the original scope of work to the addition work that the cost of labor would have to be increased. He said, " Let me ask my wife. She handles the finances." I said,"ok." Later on in the day Mr and Mrs. [redacted] approached me on site to discuss the new price. It was stated that they would be agreeable to the new price if I completed What has been stated with the original scope of work and additional work, and more additional work shown to me last second. I said I would have to think about the new additional work added last second, and would email them later that night with my response. I kept working and finished the work day. I emailed the [redacted]'s that night and stated I will finish the original scope of work and the additional work discovered the first day for the new agreed price, but that does not included the new last second additional work discussed on 9-30-17. The next day (10-1-17) I received a message stating me not to come back. I responded with a message saying I understand you opinion and request, but things need to be settled up for the work that has been completed. Which was 3/4 of the work. Mr. [redacted] spent most of the day avoiding me as I tried to get a hold of him on 10-2-17 to discuss settling up. When I finally Came in contact with him via phone on the night of 10-2-17. He stated I am having someone give me an price to finish and repair what I don't like and I'll try to figure out something to give you for your efforts out of whats left over. I told him I had complete $1750 worth of work. He did not agree to pay me so I contacted my attorney. I was fired on an unfinished product and was not even allowed on site to discuss in person and visually see the standing issues. I have texts, emails and photos Of the whole situation. This client is not just at all in this situation and is just trying to get out of paying for labor and work done by another party.
