Review: Les Halles over billing issue
On Wednesday Jan **, I had lunch at ‘Les Halles’ in NYC with my wife and two friends. I ordered a bottle of Chablis and moments later after we had ordered food, the waitress said that the Chablis was not available and she suggested a replacement to which I agreed. At the end of the lunch I gave my [redacted] card for payment. As we head out, I took a second look and saw that my bill included a bottle of Chablis for $56 in addition to the charge for the other wine I had ordered. I spoke to the Manager Mr. Buddy F[redacted] and asked him to cancel the charge of$315 and to recompute and issue a new charge. He stated that the charge of $315 had already gone through but that he would ask his accountant to make the necessary adjustment since there was a need to recompute the tax as well and he offered to take out the tips of $41.18 that I had added and that a credit of around $100 would be made to my [redacted] Card. Jan ** I stopped at the Service Desk of my bank and found out that the adjustment had not been made. Could I kindly ask that the [redacted] place a stop payment on the charge of $315 until the needed adjustment is done by’ Les Halles’. I shall speak to the Manager and remind him of his commitment to deal with this overbilling.Desired Settlement: Either cancel the original billing and issue a new one or re compute and credit my [redacted] card for at least $100
