Review: NOT RECEIVING SERVICE DUE TO AN EMPLOYEES PERSONAL ISSUE WITH A CUSTOMER

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE LES SCHWAB IN GRASS VALLEY FOR 10 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE OR BEEN REFUSED SERVICE BY LES SCHWAB UNTIL THIS YEAR WHEN I STARTED SEEING AN EX GIRLFRIEND OF ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES THERE [redacted] ONCE I STARTED SEEING HER I WENT IN TO LES SCHWAB TO GET A BALANCE AND TIRE ROTATION ON MY 1988 HONDA CRX WITH TIRES THAT I BOUGHT AT THE GRASS VALLEY LES SCHWAB, I BEGAN BEING REFUSED FOR SERVICE DUE TO ISSUES THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY CAR. IN EXAMPLE, THEY CLAIMED I HAD AN OIL LEAK SO THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO AN ALIGNMENT ON MY CAR. I THEN WENT IN TO LES SCHAWB TO HAVE MY TIRE FLIPPED THAT WAS PURCHASED THERE AND THEY REFUSED TO DUE SO CLAIMING THAT MY CAR WAS TO LOW. THE NEXT TIME I WENT IN THERE, THEY ALSO CLAIMED THEY COULDN'T DO ANOTHER ALIGNMENT DUE TO MY CARS AXEL NUT BEING LOOSE AND THE FRONT UPPER CAMBER KIT WAS MISSING A NUT AND THEY REFUSED TO DO AN ALIGNMENT. UPON LOOKING AT MY CAR I NOTICED THE CONTROL ARM WAS CLEAN AROUND THE NUT INDICATING THAT SOMEONE TOOK THE NUT OUT. I AM A MECHANIC AS A PROFESSION AND I KNOW THAT IN ORDER FOR THAT NUT TO COME OUT, YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE CONTROL ARM OUT, BECAUSE THE NUT SITS AGAINST THE BODY OF THE CAR. WHILE WAITING FOR SERVICE A LES SCHWAB EMPLOYEE WHO IS A CLOSE FRIEND CAME UP TO ME TO TELL ME "THAT HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL WORK ON MY CAR, NO ONE ELSE WILL." REFERRING TO MY RELATIONSHIP WITH [redacted] FORMER GIRLFRIEND. AFTER THE LAST TIME OF GOING IN THERE TO GET A TIRE ALIGNMENT WHEN THEY REFUSED ME SERVICE DUE TO MY AXEL NUT ISSUE, WHILE WALKING TO MY CAR AN EMPLOYEE ([redacted]) TURNED TO ME AND SAID "TOLD YOU WE DON'T WORK ON PIECES OF *EXPLICIT*". THEY HAVE ALSO REFUSED SERVICE DUE TO MY CAR BEING TO LOW (LOWERED 1") ALTHOUGH THEIR ALIGNMENT RACK SITS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. WHENEVER I GO INTO LES SCHWAB AND I AM WAITNG FOR SERVICE [redacted] MAKES ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND HAS MADE A PERSONAL OUTSIDE OF WORK ISSUE EFFECT THE SERVICE I RECEIVE.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MANAGER AT LES SCHAWB ALIGN THE FRONT OF MY CAR FOR FREE DUE TO THE HASSLES I HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH WITH HIS EMPLOYEES, AND ALSO A NEW TIRE DUE TO HAVING TO BUY A NEW ONE BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO FLIP THE ONE I BROUGHT IN THAT WAS BOUGHT THROUGH LES SCHAWB.

We regret the customer had a negative experience at the Grass Valley Les Schwab Tire Center. Les Schwab prides its self on superior customer service, takes reports seriously and investigates the underlying facts of all customer concerns.

According to Les Schwab's Records, [redacted] first visited the tire center August 10, 2012. At that time, he requested an alignment on his 1988 Honda CRX. The technician, Christopher, noted Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was lowered to the point the rear tires could not be adjusted for the camber without hitting the fenders and was unable to perform the alignment at that time. (Invoice attached). Since then, Mr. [redacted] brought his Honda CRX to the tire center for complimentary tire rotations and wheel spin balance in November 2012, and in January 2013. In March, 2013, Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle to the tire center for a complimentary flat repair.

In June 2013, Mr. [redacted] came to the tire center to have his left front tire replaced with his own tire he brought to the tire center. The technician mounted the replacement tire, noticed edge wear to the vehicle's tires and recommended an alignment.

On July 3, 2013, Mr. [redacted] brought his Honda CRX to the tire center and requested an alignment and a tire flip. The technician working to perform the alignment noted the left front axle nut was loose, the left front upper control arm was missing a nut and due to the vehicle being lowered, he could not perform the necessary alignment without damaging the vehicle. (Invoice attached). The technician was also unable to flip the tire as the cords were showing and would be unsafe to do so.

Les Schwab apologizes for any inconvenience the customer may have experienced. Although Les Schwab strongly disagrees with the customer's allegations and are unwilling to resolve his concerns for what he asks, we would like to assure Mr. [redacted] that Les Schwab diligently investigated his concerns, and remains committed to providing the best service possible to its customers.
