Les Schwab Tire Center #636 Reviews (1)

Review: Greetings,

I'm writing this letter due to several unpleasant experiences I've had with Les Schwab, it's been bad. Two years ago around this time I bought 4 new rims and 4 new low profile tires for my Mercedes SLK 320 at your Roseville, CA location on Fairway drive. I spent a couple thousand dollars and initially was very excited and happy with the selection and the service. I left the used tires and rims I had for you guys to presumably sell to a third party which was no big deal to me, it's a business.

The first time I took my car on the freeway, I noticed that any time I went over 70mph the car started shaking badly, something that had never happened before. This went on for a few days to and from work, so I went back to the Fairway store and asked them what the issue may be. They told me the rims need $5 spacers put in. Are you kidding me? Why would they not put them in initially? It seems as though they should know that these spacers are needed for these particular rims, you are a tire shop. I didn't care about the $20 or whatever it was, it's more about the time and energy of having to spend 4 more hours waiting at the shop for fixing their error....and then paying for it.

Fast forward to last week...I got a flat tire about a mile from the Sacramento airport. I pull out my spare and inflate it, and begin installing it. Come to find out the lugs nuts for the newer rims I bought from Les Schwab are not long enough for my spare tire anymore. All of my old lug nuts were taken with previous rims and tires I owned and nobody ever said a word that this could be a possibility. So now I'm sitting on the side of the freeway with only one option. It was then that I called a tow service had them pick me up and drop me by the airport and then tow my car to in front of my house. Needless to say I missed my originally scheduled flight for a meeting in San Diego and I ended up having to pay $280 for my vehicle to be towed home. And then when I got home from San Diego on Friday, I got to pay another $60 for a cab ride home from the airport. Awesome.

I'm extremely upset that on two instances Les Schwab has let me down and ended up costing me a lot of money out of my own pocket. When I spend thousands of dollars somewhere, I expect for things to be done right the first time. I don't know if I'm just unlucky or if your service team is not qualified enough to sell tires and rims to the general public. It seems that if you call yourself a "Tire Center" that you should be experts and I feel extremely let down by the ineptitude of the Fairway location in Roseville. I hope this is just a rare occurrence and not typical for other drivers.

Sincerely,

I would like you to do whatever you feel is the right thing to do.
