I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Unfortunately that response is not entirely correctThe blanket received was a replacement for a previous purchaseThe original blanket was returned under warranty and replaced about years agoAll blankets including the replacement come with a five year warranty, per the packagingI have attached a copy of the warranty information for the blanket in question should the manufacturer be confused about their obligations on this blanket There truly should be no question (legal, ethical, or otherwise) that this blanket would need replaced by the manufacturer.The manufacturer already possesses the original receipt from the first returned blankedThe retail value for replacement of this blanket is now $If they are not able to replace the blanket, I will accept either a replacement from another manufacturer or payment for replacement.I have also made numerous attempts to reach Valeria P*** to discuss this issueShe was nice enough to return my call two times initially although I was unable to answerUnfortunately since then she has not responded to any of my return calls.

WestPoint Home LLC values its customers and provided a Full Five-Year Warranty from the date of purchase for the product *** *** purchasedBy placing a phone call into a toll free number the customer then leave a detailed message and receives a return call from Customer Service *** ***
called into our customer service portal where he spoke with Customer Agent Tabatha on January **, 2016, and was informed that we no longer make the Sleep Warmer Heated BlanketDuring the phone call *** *** requested a full refund of his moneyDuring the phone call *** *** admitted that the blanket he currently had was a replacement blanket for the original blanket he purchased*** *** was informed that the replacement heated blankets do not have the full year warranty as they were replacements not purchases*** *** became very upset and asked to speak with a supervisor *** *** was advised during the call that in order to continue to use his original year warranty replacement plan he would need to produce his original receipt of purchase and that WestPoint Home LLC would honor any time left on the original year warrantySince WestPoint Home LLC no longer manufactures the Sleep Warmer Heat Blanket, the proof of purchase would have made *** ***'s warranty eligible for a money refundThe purchase price point for this product was $not the $as *** *** reports*** *** could not remember when he originally purchased the blanket and stated that the replacement was less than five years oldTabatha retained *** ***'s contact information and agreed to have a supervisor contact him via phone Tabatha and her supervisor, Valerie have reviewed the customer purchase list for Heated Blankets returns and replacement under the warranty plan for the years through the present and could not locate *** ***'s name or a purchase by *** *** within the databaseThe product would be warrantable from the time frame of to the presentAny purchases by *** *** before would not be warrantable On January ** and January **, 2016, WestPoint's Customer Service Manager Valerie placed several calls to discuss the matter with *** *** and has not been able to reach him*** *** returned Valerie's calls on January ** and January **, 2016, but the two have not been available to discuss the matter In order to conclude this matter, WestPoint Home LLC will honor the original Full Five Year Warranty according to the planThe plan specifies that a customer must provide a copy of the original receipt of purchaseWestPoint Home LLC will honor the warranty for *** ***'s purchase if the proof of purchase if he can prove that the Sleep Warmer Heated Blanket was purchased during the period of January *, to the present from one of WestPoint Home's authorized vendors*** *** must provide his proof of purchase which indicates his original date of purchaseThis is language is specifly stated in the Full Five-Year Warranty statement Should you have any questions, please contact our offices Elaina F*, Legal Department for WestPoint Home LLC

The business was even provided a copy of the own warranty information that they included with the blanket in questionBased upon that warranty information, it is clear in no uncertain terms that the referenced blanket is in fact under warrantyFurthermore, the manufacturer is in possession of all receipts and sales information which provides evidence that the claim is within the time frame of the supposed warrantyWhile they have no basis to deny the warranty claim, they have denied it without regard to their warranty? commitmentThis business does NOT honor their warrantyIt is unfortunate such a business can sell their low quality products with a supposed warranty, but completely disregard the warranty when the product fails.?
