There are some statements in the customer complaint that are true and some that are not.True:1- Yes, she bought a canopy from us2- Yes, our canopy will shield from wi-fi and other wireless radiation3- Yes, she returned it4- Yes, we promptly issued a refund minus the 20%...

restocking charge according to our published refund policy (see it here [redacted] . There is a link to this policy from our website home page and from the online shopping cart. It is also printed on the inside cover of our print catalog which accompanied the product when shipped, see copy here: [redacted]5- It is probably also true that we did not discuss the return procedures and restocking policy on the phone when she placed the order. While we are happy to do so, we don’t routinely bring this topic up when taking a telephone order unless the customer asks about it, which she did not. (I believe this is customary… in all my years of placing telephone orders, no merchant has ever spontaneously brought up the topic of returns.)Not true:1- We never did nor would say that our product would help autism2- I can confirm that I never screamed at the customer3- On 4/25 this customer called to return the canopy and was told that we would authorize the return of the canopy, provided we receive by May 10, and we even offered to pro-rate the re-stocking fee if she purchased something else. Later that day, this customer called back yelling, swearing, and being rude about the re-stock fee.In addition, before placing the telephone order for the canopy, this customer placed an online order for another item on that same day. This means that, at the very least, she had access to the return policy though our online shopping cart prior to calling to place the telephone order.We understand that a customer would naturally prefer to avoid a restocking fee, but we make no effort to hide the policy, and even on occasion (like with this customer) give them a way to reduce or eliminate it.

measuring shielding performance. I realize that your phone offers a dB signal strength feature, but these are notoriously poor indicators of signal strength. You will generally see no change until the signal is almost completely eliminated. See [redacted] for a more complete discussion. Please use an RF field strength meter to measure and you will easily see the shielding performance. Our fabric provides 30 dB (97% reduction) which is easily seen when using a proper meter. If your goal is to kill the phone signal so that it does not receive a call, you will not be able to do that with a shielding fabric as you will need 120 dB or better to accomplish this, see [redacted]. May I also ask, How could you see the phone's signal strength indicator when the phone was wrapped up in the shielding fabric?2- as our products are laboratory tested for performance, we have full confidence that they do exactly what we say they do. Note that we do not promise that this material will kill a cell phone connection. Also, please note that you must use a valid test method, as stated above.3- we do have a published return policy which can be seen here (and is linked to from the shopping cart): [redacted]We do not normally accept returns on cut goods. Even so, I understand that an exception was made and you were offered a partial refund if you returned the material in new condition. This offer still stands for 30 days after purchase date.I realize that sometimes there can be a difference between a customer's expectations and the reality of what a product can and cannot do. As our products are highly technical, we encourage customers to contact us before making a purchase so that we can help the customer achieve his goals with the proper materials and methods.
