Lester Knee

Review: Last August (2012), I paid Lester Knee to clean out my rain gutters, with the understanding that he would return to cover them to prevent birds from clogging them up again. The whole point of cleaning the gutters out at that time was to have Lester put in gutter covers so that I wouldn't have to have them cleaned out each year. He promised to cover them within the next month. In addition, I paid him to caulk my windows to prevent leakage. While he was doing that, he mentioned that my trim was coming off from above the windows. He said he could cut out new trim and replace it. He took the trim from above one of my windows and said he'd repair the trim and replace it. He said he'd install the gutters, finish caulking the windows, and replace the trim before the winter. He drove off with my trim, and that was the last I saw of Lester. He did call me up until November, promising to come and finish the job, but never did. The winter came and went. When spring arrived, he called me once, telling me he would reclean my gutters since they had filled up with bird nest material again. Then, he stopped answering my calls altogether. Once, he accidentally called me and left a message, thinking he was calling someone else that he's doing a tree job for, so I know the number I have is a working one, and that he's receiving all of my messages. I tried to reason with him over the voice mail messages I left by reminding him that he still has my trim, and if he's not going to complete the job, at least return the trim above the window where he took it. I also told him to at least have the dignity to answer my call. Still, I receive no response. Now, I see he's advertising himself to do tree work on [redacted]. I would like for Mr. Knee to replace the trim above the window, exactly where he took it from, and also to reclean my gutters free of charge, so that I can hire someone who really will come in a timely fashion when they say they will, and cover those gutters.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr. Knee to return the trim above the window and clean my gutters for free, so that I can find someone who will cover the gutters right away, as he said he would, or to reimburse my $200 and add another $50 for the trim he's taken and has refused to return.
