On February 17, 2016 [redacted] came into our office to purchase a mobile home. The home they were interested in was a stock model. They ask how much they had to put down to lock the house up. They were told $ 1500.00 to lock the house up for 6 weeks. [redacted] agreed and signed a...

purchase agreement. [redacted] explained that he has some work to do on his property and he would be ready in 6 weeks. They also needed time to save the rest of their down payment. We explained to [redacted] that if for some reason this deal didn't go through, we would keep a portion of the down payment. This home was taken off the market and was not shown to anyone. On February 11, 2016 [redacted] asked if we could come and look at the land and make sure their septic would not be in the way. When we got down there, the lot is not big enough for the 28x60 mobile home they were wanting. So [redacted]e asked for their money back. We issued a check for $ 1000.00 and kept $ 500.00. The $ 500.00 was kept because  we have to pay monthly interest on the home to the bank. The accrued interest is more than $ 500.00 a month.
