[redacted] was brought to my home by [redacted] of American Home Consultants, as part of the Focus on Energy program. [redacted] himself does not perform any actual work. He hires everything out and then you don't see him, he does not stay and supervise. I never signed a contract with him, but assumed that he was responsible for the work he was hired to perform. He was paid to insulate the walls of my garage where it abuts the house. My house is still cold in the hall that sits next to the garage wall. I had another insulator check the insulation. To my amazement, he found that the wall had not been insulated. When [redacted] was informed, he said if I had a problem with it I needed to contact [redacted] he took no responsibility.
Before he had done any work at all on my house he sent me a bill for $1000. When I called him about this. He said that was just to get my attention.
Yes, we can all say, "Why did you let him work on your house?" I am a single parent with no experience with people like this. I also thought that people associated with Focus on Energy had been checked out. I have learned a lot!!
I had a similar experience as the other complaint. I bought, paid for and brought all the materials to my house, so I was only paying for labor. He billed me for materials, which I have not paid. I also had to hire other people to fix all the things his people did wrong. They installed a window, (that I bought), but did not put the interior frame back on so that things still leaked.
[redacted] calls my home phone, cell phone, and work phone, EVERY DAY, all three phones. He yells and screams. He threatens me. He sends me bills every so often. Each bill is for a different amount. I paid him $900, which is incredibly generous considering the quality of the work.
He is dishonest and SCARY. Also, see the Wisconsin Circuit Court website. He is currently suing several insurance companies. He also has been involved in child abuse, and other restraining orders, among the business complaints filed against him.
