Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: it has factually incorrect answers to the complaints and contradicts emails and communications that I have sent and received from MrL [redacted] and his company throughout the process The simple response is to say that MrL [redacted] is lying about almost everything he types in his complaintThat would save myself and the public who read these complaints a lot of timeBut because it is an obligation by the consumer to respond, I will do so and attach documentation that is damming to MrL [redacted] and his companyI must also note for all involved; MrL [redacted] received this complaint on October 13th and failed to timely respond to itThe Revdex.com actually closed the complaint because of a "no-response" but has seemingly allowed him to respond anyway As MrL [redacted] states; we did indeed go through the contract in his officeIt was a fine contract that had many facets to itWhat he alleges as being "thrilled" is nothing of the sortLevco preaches accountability and timeliness, yet right off the bat, they failed to respond to a change order for over two months (see documentation) and when they did, I rejected their acceptance of itIn MrL [redacted] 's rush to state we had a contract we went over in his office, he fails to even represent or acknowledge that his own company didn't follow their contract or guidelinesAll CO's are to be addressed within two days and communicated clearlyL [redacted] goes on to admit in an email that they did not respond in a timely mannerStrike MrL [redacted] is also obsessed with Milestone paymentsThe reason he is because his company lacks the resources to do other jobs around the valley and desperately needs money to continue workWe stopped work at our home because it was not up to parI did not pay him his next milestone payment because work he had already done (that I had paid him for) was not done correctly and I wanted that fixed before I continued to flood his bank accountI sent off an email that was true; my 4-year-old could have laid tile better than his "tile master" as he called himI told MrL [redacted] specifically that he had an issueFor MrL [redacted] to say he never asked for critical feedback is another fallacy as he does in another attached documentNow you can see a pattern of failing to own his issues and projecting them onto his customersFurther, he claims he gets fired, then two hours later changes his mind and wants back on the jobHe was never fired, he was asked to stop working until a resolution could be made through the Revdex.com and NARIHe did though continuously threaten to leave while sending emails begging to come back (see documentation)Strike MrL [redacted] then continues on to say how toxic we were towards his workersNo one in the home was toxic to any of his workersWe praised them and decided that discussing issues with his project managers (or whoever would show up on the day they were scheduled to work) was pointlessMrL [redacted] is the owner and manager of the companyHe failed to come out to the jobsite and failed to reign in the issuesHe received emails and communication because he owns the companyWhere he erred and where he claims I created a toxic atmosphere is actually all his faultHe is the one who would directly share concerns and complaints I sent to him and him only with his staffHe is the one who would create the toxic environment due to sharing communiques between myself and him onlyI figure that as a company owner and manager, he should fic the issues and not exacerbate themYet he made them worse by sharing everything directly with his workers and created his own toxic environmentBut I wasn't the only one to complain eitherHe had newsletters sent to staff each week that specifically discussed the jobs they were working onOf the four they had, three were noted as unhappy due to staffing, work done at the residence or lack of communicationI'm sure all of those involved will now see a pattern with my complaint! I, Joe L [redacted] owner ofLevco Remodeling, and I, [redacted] ***, a client ofLevco Remodeling, have come to an agreement to release each other ofany and all contractual agreements among us for now and foreverThatthis release bars us forever :from taking any actions, legal or otherwise, inregards to our contractual agreementJoe L [redacted] owner of LevcoRemodeling will release the Lien on the residence of [redacted] and I, [redacted] ***, will inform the Revdex.com, inwriting, that the complaint I filed against Levco Remodeling has beensatisfactory resolved and I request Revdex.com to close the complaint

I went over the contract paragraph by paragraph in my office and had the clients initial the fact that they understand the agreement and the milestone payment planUp until they sent me an angry email they had been extremely happy with everything to the point that my PM (Project Manager) at
one-point thought *** and his wife were going to hug him as they were thrilled with the project. The client is mad that is clearHe says I abandoned the projectWell I suppose I did after he told me to stop and didn’t pay a milestone payment upon request.Work does not occur linearlyWe do not necessarily complete a process before another one startsHis images reflect work in progress.I shared his furious email he sent with the PM and the tile setter to get a better handle on what was happeningIn that email he made disparaging comments and insults, demanded that we quit and stop workHis mom was proud of him for writing the email and speculated that it would get a reaction from meIt did, just not the one he wantedI never asked him for critical feedback, he is making this up.The client exercised his right to stop workThat and the facts that we were locked out, plus a milestone payment was not made, makes me confident that the job is overI will not subject my employees or subcontractors to a hostile environmentThis hit us all out of the blue.A milestone payment was due at the “Start of masonry”We have the contractual right to stop work when a milestone payment is not made within days and to charge him to return and set up again. The furious email said among other things that “His 4-year-old could do a better tile job” The tile setter had told a relative that the tiles were cheap and defective and that he could not produce a good job with themHe only “dry-set” them to show the clientAssuming that they had been installed, the client lashed outWhen I told him they were only dry-set for his approval, it did not calm him.I apologized for the tile setter’s words (who is foreign) He apparently offended a relative by saying the tiles were cheap and defective or crappy? (I was not there)I was willing to go back and do more work things assuming he was going to make the milestone payment, but now that these complaints were filed I will let the complaint processes run their course.Upon receiving the email, I immediately sent my PM to retrieve our sign and tools but they could not get into our lock box to get the keyThe client eventually opened the door and let us inI ultimately had to cut the lock box off and ruin it to retrieve their house keyThe client denies changing the code, just strange coincidence I suppose?I have no remorse for sharing his emails and believe that *** is acting immaturely in an attempt to get something from me for nothingThis is strange behavior, outright hostility and threatening me, filing complaints with NARI and the Revdex.comYet he acts sugary sweet with my employees and subcontractorsThis is confusing at bestIt makes me believe he has an ulterior motive. The project is in process and is not complete so there are many things that are not done yetAs for the texture, the client’s wife told us to “Leave it alone” when we offered to change it to match the rest of the area
When asked during a nasty berating, threatening “Recorded according to him” telephone call he made to me, *** could not say a single nice thing about his project, he eventually came up with “That our sign is not in his yard anymore” This does not sound like a reasonable person that wants to discuss or work anything outHe also insists he has had Strite Remodeling and Stronghold remodeling over to verify that he had been swindled! Neither representative of these companies know anything about itPlease explain.BackgroundI almost did not install the drywall when I received a confusing email from *** but after my PM reassured me that everything was just fineThat drywall signoff was signed by the client indicating we can proceedThat milestone payment was delayed and I almost stopped work but the payment arrived eventually. The client did some demolition work that was not specified in the approved DOWThis is considered a gift to the project by contractDespite that, I offered him $for his labor and he was insulted and refused the credit.I believe that the client ultimately wants to fire us without making a payment but he refuses to state his intentions“I did not fire you!” He screamed repeatedly in the phoneIf his intention is to fire us for cause or we fire him for nonpayment, he has ruined the project with his written/spoken words and actionsThis is a classic chicken and egg debateI have no desire or obligation to return at this point. The client wanted to keep costs down and provided many inappropriate materials which have caused us wasted time and money to explain to them why we need to use the correct materials.I also just learned the client altered the electrical components that were done under a permit “To speed up the process” so I informed him that any warranty has been canceledThis is forbidden behavior.Potential change orders not initiated yet (I get to decide if I want to charge for them or not)We found faulty electrical work on the project which our electrician had to fixWe discovered a leaking buried bad plumbing connection outside his home which we dug up and identified for themWe had to move his personal belongingsWe wasted a day dry setting faulty tilesWe had to provide a different washing machine box.My position (Things I need to continue to work)I need an apology as well as a civility agreementPayment of the milestone and penalty will allow us to continue the projectProvide us with a new set of tiles that are not defectiveRecant the complaint sent to the Revdex.comCompensate me for a new lockboxFinal payment held in escrow to be paid upon completionSupervised by others. My reputation is important, but so is my dignityThreatening me with his litigation prowess and his connections with the Attorney General do not impress meHe has not been harmed by us, rather us by him.Joe L***

I wanted to update you on the above mentioned complaintMrL*** has been reprimanded by his contracting group (NARI) and as such, has refunded $4,towards the remodel project
It is clear regardless of MrL***'s position, that by refunding an amount that large he is agreeing that he was at fault for the disastrous performanceAs part of the agreement, NARI asked that I notify you I have settled and ask that the case be closed as no other further litigation from myself is allowed. That does not mean that another representative will not attempt to sue MrL*** but it doesn't absolve my issues with him
My hope is the complaint shows up in the Revdex.com database as closed and satisfied but that it notes the respondent (Levco) refunded a good portion of the project costIt's important that the public sees this issue as transparent and I know how much MrL*** cares about transparency within his company
Thank you for your help with this matter

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: it has factually incorrect answers to the complaints and contradicts emails and communications that I have sent and received from Mr. L[redacted] and his company throughout the process.
The simple response is to say that Mr. L[redacted] is lying about almost everything he types in his complaint. That would save myself and the public who read these complaints a lot of time. But because it is an obligation by the consumer to respond, I will do so and attach documentation that is damming to Mr. L[redacted] and his company. I must also note for all involved; Mr. L[redacted] received this complaint on October 13th and failed to timely respond to it. The Revdex.com actually closed the complaint because of a "no-response" but has seemingly allowed him to respond anyway.
As Mr. L[redacted] states; we did indeed go through the contract in his office. It was a fine contract that had many facets to it. What he alleges as being "thrilled" is nothing of the sort. Levco preaches accountability and timeliness, yet right off the bat, they failed to respond to a change order for over two months (see documentation) and when they did, I rejected their acceptance of it. In Mr. L[redacted]'s rush to state we had a contract we went over in his office, he fails to even represent or acknowledge that his own company didn't follow their contract or guidelines. All CO's are to be addressed within two days and communicated clearly. L[redacted] goes on to admit in an email that they did not respond in a timely manner. Strike 1.
Mr. L[redacted] is also obsessed with Milestone payments. The reason he is because his company lacks the resources to do other jobs around the valley and desperately needs money to continue work. We stopped work at our home because it was not up to par. I did not pay him his next milestone payment because work he had already done (that I had paid him for) was not done correctly and I wanted that fixed before I continued to flood his bank account. I sent off an email that was true; my 4-year-old could have laid tile better than his "tile master" as he called him. I told Mr. L[redacted] specifically that he had an issue. For Mr. L[redacted] to say he never asked for critical feedback is another fallacy as he does in another attached document. Now you can see a pattern of failing to own his issues and projecting them onto his customers. Further, he claims he gets fired, then two hours later changes his mind and wants back on the job. He was never fired, he was asked to stop working until a resolution could be made through the Revdex.com and NARI. He did though continuously threaten to leave while sending emails begging to come back (see documentation). Strike 2.
Mr. L[redacted] then continues on to say how toxic we were towards his workers. No one in the home was toxic to any of his workers. We praised them and decided that discussing issues with his project managers (or whoever would show up on the day they were scheduled to work) was pointless. Mr. L[redacted] is the owner and manager of the company. He failed to come out to the jobsite and failed to reign in the issues. He received emails and communication because he owns the company. Where he erred and where he claims I created a toxic atmosphere is actually all his fault. He is the one who would directly share concerns and complaints I sent to him and him only with his staff. He is the one who would create the toxic environment due to sharing communiques between myself and him only. I figure that as a company owner and manager, he should fic the issues and not exacerbate them. Yet he made them worse by sharing everything directly with his workers and created his own toxic environment. But I wasn't the only one to complain either. He had newsletters sent to staff each week that specifically discussed the jobs they were working on. Of the four they had, three were noted as unhappy due to staffing, work done at the residence or lack of communication. I'm sure all of those involved will now see a pattern with my complaint! He was never locked out, and actually had my key for over three weeks until NARI forced him to return it (see documentation). Strike 3.
The simple reality is this; Levco wanted more money to continue a flawed remodel. I wanted them to stop their process, reset, and redo what was wrong. Mr. L[redacted] instead wanted more money and claimed any defects or issues would be addressed at the final milestone payment of $500 dollars. That is unacceptable and is exactly why he is being investigated by the AG, the Idaho Business Licensure and NARI. I'm not out to get Mr. L[redacted], I'm out to protect my family. This whole response by this company actually doesn't address anything besides blame me. The Revdex.com and the public can make their own decisions, but when emails and other communications contradict a company's word, you know you're working with a deceitful person. You also know they did wrong when all they can do is project the issues onto the consumer and not actually respond to the complaint in a timely manner. The contract was not followed, lies were told, and Levco Builders is not fit to be in the remodeling business.
Please view all attachment and the highlighted words and make your decision wisely when choosing a builder. The rest of the response by Mr. L[redacted] has nothing to do with this complaint and is asinine.

Sincerely,[redacted]
