Please accept our apologies for the handling of your shipment. Reddaway prides itself on providing excellent customer service and professional handling of shipments.
We have investigated the complaint and have found that the shipment was picked up by Reddaway on February 17, from
Italics in San ***, CA for delivery to *** *** in San Francisco, CA. A delivery appointment was made for February 23, and that delivery was missed as Reddaway had been provided (2) different bill of ladings causing (2) pro numbers to be issued. A second delivery appointment was then made for February 26, 2016. Prior to the 2nd delivery there were questions about the delivery location as it was on a steep hill. When Mr*** was advised that the steep hill would create a challenge as it would not be safe for the driver or any other party to unload (2) pallets at a weight of 3,pounds. Reddaway explained to Mr*** that we could try the delivery but that we would not put anyone at risk of suffering an injury. Mr*** advised Reddaway to return the tile to shipper. Contact was made with *** & *** and freight was returned to them and delivered on March 3, 2016.
Reddaway has not received payment from any party for this shipment and all charges have been cancelled and are not due from any party on the bill of lading.
We again apologize that Reddaway could not safely make a delivery of your shipment
