Level Construction, Inc. Reviews (2)

In late 2013 / early 2014, my wife and I had Level Construction build a screened in deck and pour a part concrete and part paver stone patio. The overall process of getting the job done, (while drawn out) was satisfactory. Communication with [redacted] and [redacted] during the process was sub-par as best.
My biggest complaint comes after the work was done, when it came time for Level Construction to honer their 1 year warranty. Parts of the paver stone patio settled and became visibly un-level. I first contacted [redacted] via email on 3/20/15, then again on 3/24/15 after not receiving a response. I asked for a phone call back and instead received an email from [redacted] on 3/24/15 stating that the original email was never received and the information would be passed along to [redacted] and I'd get a call. I never did hear from [redacted] and it took several calls to finally get a hold of him and get a date scheduled for the patio to be looked at. [redacted] finally came to the house on May 15th to look at the patio settlement. While gripping about how insignificant the settlement was and how he did the work for so cheap and he lost money on the deal, he did agree to repair it. However, since Level Construction was so busy at the time, it would not be for 2 - 3 months before they can do the repairs. We were fine with this as long as the repairs were done.
To be sure the work was actually scheduled, I contacted [redacted] again via email on 5/15/15 (the day [redacted] was out). I again received no response and had to email again on 5/20/15 to which I received a response stating that the schedule would be looked at and [redacted] would contact me back.
Again, I received no response from [redacted] so I followed up with another email on 6/19/15, and another on 7/6/15. I finally received an email on 7/7/15 stating that they are very busy and the work will be done sometime in mid October. Again, this is not a scheduled date like I requested.
On 9/16/15, I wrote an email to [redacted] to get an actual date scheduled for October. I did actual receive a reply the next day stating she would let me know soon. Once again, no response came from [redacted] and I had to email her again on 9/28/15. Again, I was told dates would be checked and I'd hear back. This never happened.
At this point, many phone calls to [redacted] and [redacted] were made in an attempt to pinpoint an exact date for the repairs to be done. Every phone call and follow up had to be initiate by myself. The work was scheduled to be done on 11/9/15 (which is not October) but it rained. I again, never received a phone call that day to re-schedule. It was not until I called several times again that a rescheduled date was made. The work was finally completed on 11/16/15.
The severe lack of service, communication, and overall concern for a customer after the sale is evidence of how this business truly operates. I am not writing this review for any type of retributions what so ever. My hopes are that people will see this review and take their business elsewhere because in my experience this is not a reputable business and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Further evidence is the fact that a search for Level Construction Inc. on the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors, reveals an invalid license as of 01/01/2014.
