It took Cortese company over a year (from foundation to finish, not including the time for permit, soil testing, and architect drawings) to make a one bedroom addition They would have one man working alone most times There were times that no one would show up for weeks because they had the two main workers start different jobs Added to that was the lack of communication even among themselves, as the office would call asking for payments after a certain job was completed only to realize that the work was not done yet! Worse yet, the building department had to make several trips for repeated violations Upon completion, the company failed to call the building department for re-inspection prior to collecting the last payment Up to now, more than two years later, seven different violations have still not been taken care of I have called and was told not to worry that they 'stand behind our work a hundred percent." Well, they have yet to prove that Moreover, the one closet they put up came down Although I am happy the kids were not around to get hurt, I have had nightmares after that incidence; that the whole addition came down and my family and I found ourselves cold in the other half of the houseAs the icing on the cake both the president, and his son, took turns in being disrespectfulI need for then to come and fix the problems so I can move on with my life This is a very depressing situation after spending over one hundred thousands for a one bedroom addition

I had a very frustrating time using CorteseThe workmanship is very poorThe entire project took double the time I was quotedWe only had worker here each dayWe were expected a team of people doing this work, not one man
The work is very poorWe have cabinets not closing properly, our floor were not properly laidVery disappointing experience

In the interest of compromise and to assure *** ***s satisfaction, we are willing to extend a Courtesy Credit for the Demo portion of work that *** *** deemed incompleteThis portion of the project was quoted for $ Please confirm if this is acceptable to all parties
Thank you,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I have requested proof from [redacted] that he is certified in removing and cleaning up mold issues, and I have yet to receive anything that states he is.I should not have to have Cortese come to my house 4 times a yr to check my humidity. I shouldn't have to worry that I have a continuing issue.I have damage here that was caused by the humidity issue that Cortese should be responsible for taking care of.I had a mold remediator here to give me an estimate as to what needs to be done to make this house safe to live in. Please see attached. A little bit more involved than wiping visible mold residue off with a product called "Shock". I should not not be responsible for this expense.

Dear [redacted]
On 11/07/2013 our home repairs specialist visited [redacted] residence to diagnose a roof leak. At that time the home repair specialist recommend a new roof. The homeowner declined and inquired if there were any other possible...

options. Our home repair specialist explained that only solution was to trouble shoot areas that looked of concern. At that time [redacted] and our technician agreed to repair the area where the sunroom and house meet. We removed shingles 36 inches up to the roof transition in the rear of the house installed ice shield, new shingles and flashing. Customer called and said the roof was still leaking and we went back to check on it. Each time, we went back, 5/16/14,5/23/14,6/4/14,7/10/14 and 7/29/14, we investigated some and water tested the areas of concern, with customer present and no leaks were visible at that time. It was made clear to the customer at this point that we were focusing our efforts in the wrong area. Our home repair specialist requested access to the dormer area above the sunroom to check for moisture infiltration could be the cause of the leak below and was told it was inaccessible therefore he could not properly diagnose the leak source. In conclusion this was a troubleshooting repair that came with no guaranties because of the inability to know exactly where the water leaking originated from. The homeowner never gave us a chance to complete the task of investigating the matter further and hired someone else to do an entire tear off and reroof as initially suggested on 11/07/13.

Dear

his tile.  The tile was ordered because
we needed the job to be completed.  As
soon as the cost for the tile was calculated- [redacted] was sent a change order dated
9/4/14. He did not dispute this amount until today, 10/21/14 when we received this
complaint from the Revdex.com.  If [redacted]
would have called us when the initial change order was received we would have
been more than happy to discuss the difference in price with him and come to an
amicable agreement.
