Thank you for the letter in regards to ID ***. We strive to provide great service and wish to know when customers are unhappy, as well as when they are very pleased with our service. When the customer called Lew’s on 12/1/with a complaint of “no heat”, he was quoted an $
diagnostic fee for the service technician to go to the home and determine the problem. The service tech determined which part was failing and was able to get the furnace running temporarilyHe then relayed to the office which part to quote to the customer. Since we didn’t install the equipment we had to call the supply house to check on warranty of the furnaceThe part was found under warranty and Julie (from our office) called the customer to let him know that everything would be covered under the flat rate price of $Some repairs of this type go quicker than others, this is why we charge a flat rate for repairs instead of time and materialWith flat rate we can quote the repair before the work is done and everyone knows the price. The customer agreed over the phone to the verbal quote. Once the repair was completed, and the service tech left the home, the customer called the office to complain about the price. He was not charged any more than he was quoted and agreed to over the phone. Upon reviewing the repair invoice we discovered the customer did not receive the 10% senior discount. We would like to correct this discrepancy. As a company whose motto has always been “Your Comfort Is Our Concern”, when faced with a less than desirable review, we will take the opportunity to reflect and better ourselves.
