Don't trust there contractors!
Our original home was destroyed by giant bull pines in early 2016. We searched for builders and finally landed with Lexar. the build of our home went fairly smoothly and we originally loved that part of it. However since then its been a nightmare! Though I've heard through my MANY calls that Lexar is not responsible for the contractors that were hired to do the electrical, flooring, or heating they did provide the lists for them. I have so many times given up on trying to get things fixed or rectified! It started with Great Floors the second year of the home I had cracked wood work around the doors and it was bulging around the dishwasher, stove and plays the rice Krispy jingle when you walk on it. Great floors did send out the installer who replaced the wood work and he "glued" areas. This didn't fix the bowing in the kitchen. They sent out another inspector who while he was here said it was "shady labor issues" but this changed by the time great floors called back
And found out the flooring I picked out was discontinued, and now was water damage! Really? Around things water would not even be close to?. Still trying to get this fixed Jerry said I can send out another person who could check this, Im still waiting its been 4 yrs. I know it was shady labor issues because I was here when they installed the floors it was freezing temps, the doors were open, yet they were laying it anyways. This also was said "we would have never done that" Still have issues there my problem.
Then there's my electrical issue! By reading other reviews I see I'm not alone here! I called several times because the breakers kept popping. Plug in something in the kitchen that breaker would pop. Plug in something outside another breaker pops, I'm constantly resetting them still after contacting this company the answer was " those breakers might have been old ill send you some"! Really? I'm 61yrs old and electrical is above my pay grade! Oh and I'm still waiting for those it also has been yrs! I gave up and still have to reset them every time I want to work outside that contains power!

Finally the last straw (reason for this review)! I take care of my 96yr old mother in this house and the heater went out the day before Christmas. I called Complete heating immediately since its not exactly freaking warm in Idaho this time of year, they explained they had no one to come out that week, call someone else! Ok so I called mainstream heating who managed to come out in less than 3hrs, he at least hooked up the emergency heat (which Complete heating failed to do originally) so we didn't freeze. He also explained that I needed to call Complete heating back because it should still be under warranty and they would have to be the ones to fix it. Ok I call them back, left messages that I needed THEM to come out explaining the situation again, I got the same response they had no one to come out plus they'd have to charge travel time, and an hourly cost. Bottom line I still need to get this fixed! Now the biggest problem the warranty card was never sent in so not covered anyway. Its only 7 yrs old however when I sat with our lexar contact person for 2 hours filling all the final paperwork out, and it went with him (who no longer works there) it never got sent in. I've tried to get Complete heating out to get this fixed I get the same response "call someone else" someone else doesn't want to work on it! I've spoken to Bobby at Lexar and of course its over the 5 yr Lexar responsibility, after a week of waiting for him to call me back I called him only to get " its not Lexars issue or Complete heatings, he suggested calling Carrier (the maker) there response was the card wasn't sent in so by policy they can't do anything. the warranty cards on all of our homes content have disappeared.
My father was extremely ill and actually passed away 3 weeks prior to our Christmas Eve move in date, I didn't complain when I realized that our electricity to our shop was damaged in the build which cost me 2400.00, I didn't complain when I realized the water lines were not reconnected to the front yard, I didn't complain that our specific height specifications for our counter top was not correct.
I'm so sick of the run around I'm actually considering selling out. This was supposed to be our forever home. My dads buried here, my mom will be too. I'm stuck with one issue or another and trust me none of them give a dam!
Sincerely Laurie Rivera

After paying my final bill we have had issues with Lexar Homes out of Tacoma, WA finishing up some jobs and fixing problem with construction at our home on Anderson Island, Washington. It has taking months for them to finish up some very easy items. After pushing them hard for months some very significant items got finally taken care of. In the contract after a year of completion the home is guaranteed from any issues. There are still 3 items that they still need to take care of and no matter how much we call, send text messages, or send E-mails they are not taken care of. These items are:

1) Boot prints in the cement on the front porch from Lexar workers. (Reported before August 2017)
2) A wood crack down the center of a drawer face in master bedroom. I even offered to have them mail me the drawer to us and I will put it on myself. (Reported before September 2017)
3) Electrical issues with one of circuits. When using the outlet in the back and having the outside lights on the circuit in the garage breaks every time. I have had to bring extension cords around the house to get things done. (Reported beginning of December 2017)

We hope Lexar will take care of these items in the near future.

My name is Troy G, and I am the construction manager at the Tacoma branch of Lexar.I have read the complaint the home owner had, I would like to provide you with documented facts.I was first contacted by the home owner (***) on 10/20/17 with a punch list of his completed home. His list contained the following items:• A big gap between framing of bottom half of door- Corrected• Screws in plates for doors- Corrected• Handle bars on main bathroom shower- Corrected• Crack in frame around kitchen window- Corrected• Caulking/ seal for transitions for doors- Corrected• Gap in framing around doors- Corrected• Metal piece cut short for kitchen backsplash- Corrected• Longer screws for kitchen knobs- Corrected• Splitting drawer in master bathroom- placed order for drawer• Hallway has floor bubbling up- Home owners washing machine caused damage• Boot prints on front porch- Not part of Lexar’s contractThen on 1/11/18 I received another message from the home owner about a circuit breaking in the garage when he uses the back light, and plug at the same time. We sent in a warranty call to our electrician to go out and take a look at it, and fix it if something is wrong. Our electrician tried to reach out to the home owner to set up a time, but was unable to get a hold of him.He has stated in his complaint that the issue occurred on 2/5/17. This is not the case. His house didn’t start construction until 1/25/17, and was completed on 8/24/17. Punch list was sent on 10/20/17 all items were taken care from the original punch list. As you can see from the list of his original punch list we have and will always continue to work with the customer if they have warranty issues. Below is how we have been moving forward to resolve each issue that he has stated remains:• Splitting drawer face- we have ordered a replacement drawer, and at home owners request we are having it shipped to him directly at his other place of residence• Electrical issue- warranty call has been placed, electrician has been trying to get a hold of home owner to go out to take a look at it, and fix if there is something wrong. Home owner does not live on site, and he has to set up a special code for our guys to be able to access.• Boot prints on exterior front porch concrete- Exterior concrete is not part of our contract. We are willing to send someone out to grind down, or surface coat on the remnants of the boot prints. We cannot do this until the weather gets warmer. If there is anything else you need, please reach out. Thanks,Troy GConstruction Manager

In response to the customers last email. I received an email from *** on Friday 3/23/18 at 1:56 PM, that he indeed did get in contact with the electrician for the warranty call. If he needs any further assistance on this matter, please feel free to contact us.

His replacement door was ordered, and it is being shipped from Indiana. At his request, it was to be shipped to his other address.

As his front porch concrete is not in our contract, we have said that we will still help him out. We are just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit.

Please feel free to reach out if there is anything else you may need.

Thanks
