Thanks for your response.In fact, I believe I am entitle to some kind of compensationI would settle this issue for an amount of $89, that is the amount that the technician charged for a diagnosis, and did not discount this amount from the total charged at the end for the furnace repair.That added

RE: Complaint ***Boehmer heating does not dispute the timing or number of visits involved in the course of servicing his furnaceThe detail that Mr*** has omitted from his complaint is that in addition to maintenance on the furnace itself, he also asked Boehmer Heating to diagnose a
humidifier which is peripheral to the furnace, and which was not workingOur first technician assessed that the humidifier was functionally obsolete, and that an attempted repair may not be sufficient tD return it to its full functionalityHe proceeded to supply a quote to replace the non-functioning unit.Since no service is really routine (and we cannot speak to whether or not annual service has been performed on Mr***'s furnace - certainly this was our first visit to Mr***'s home), it does happen from time to time that the very act of maintenance can cause a worn part to failThat failure may not manifest itself at the exact time that the technician is presentAs soon as we were made aware of the failure, we returned after hours and at no cost to return the furnace to working orderThe ensuing visits involved servicing the humidifier, which we attempted to repair as a courtesy and which caused leaking of water around the furnaceThese repairs were made for the cost of parts onlyDuring a tune-up, the furnace filter is either cleaned or replaced at an additional cost, unless the customer declines this optionAccording to the third technician's detailed work order, the customer indicated that he could supply his own filter.Printouts from our technicians' diagnostic tools show that no carbon monoxide or natural gas were escaping from the furnace, and at no time were any of the safety features of the furnace compromisedBoehmer Heating and Cooling is dedicated to fulfilling our customers* installation and service requirements to their complete satisfactionWe regret and apologize that Mr*** and his son were inconvenienced by the series of events which took placeMr*** has not indicated that he would like a reduction in his bill, but we would be glad to refund Mr***'s original maintenance fee if he would likeAs I noted earlier, we did not charge any labor to repair his humidifierMr*** is welcome to submit whatever review he deems appropriate, but we do not control the reviews on our website - these are maintained by an impartial third party.Greg S*Service Manager

I’m disappointed in Boehmer’s response to my complaint #[redacted] involving that company’s service to our furnace. The real issue is, and I believe Boehmer knows this: If a furnace fails to work after a service visit, the company performing that service ought to have some obligation to send a technician after normal business hours to get that furnace up and running.  The homeowner should not be told to wait until the next morning, after 8 o’clock, and speak to a service manager.   I don’t wish to pursue the matter further – no refund, no more explanations from Boehmer, or whatever.  But I do hope the Revdex.com will keep a record of my complaint in the event that someone else has a problem with this company. Tell us why here...

We were hoping to return to complete the evaluation of your system as the low outdoor temperature during our prior visit made it difficult to verify the amount of coolant in the air conditioner. But apparently, we were unable to meet your scheduling requirements.We require our technicians to provide our customers with all options whether repairs, replacement, or just routine maintenance is required so that you can make an informed decision about the service of your system. Unfortunately, we weren't able to complete the diagnosis.I have reviewed your letter with our technical staff to improve our communications and improve customer satisfaction.
