this response because:Just to be really clear, these are not the usual cracks John was referring to. These were cracks that were brought to the builder's attention DURING the warranty period that they had attempted to repair, but FAILED to fix them permanently. In fact, the attempted repairs (made it worse - from a single line crack, that now had became a much larger (rectangular) shaped crack that made it a complete eye sore. We are asking for a fix that they had caused. Cracks are not supposed to keep coming back and are NOT common in homes - if and when they do (keep coming back esp in the same area), it usually means the home is not properly built or have underlying (foundational/structural) issues. Despite multiple invites to have the builder come take a look at the issue at hand, they refused to even show up to see it first hand. Clearly, this builder do not uphold to the service and quality commitment they claim they do for their homes. I have worked with many builders and have experience owning several new homes. I am very disappointed at how this builder handled the situation (by choosing to ignore and not stand up to their work), I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this builder to anybody.  Sincerely,
Mei Y[redacted]

It is not unusual that drywall cracks appear and reappear as a home ages.  As their home is over 8 years old, and the one year warranty ended Dec. 27, 2010, we are no longer able to make additional repairs.John  C[redacted]Lexington Fine Homes
