Lexington Inn & Suites - Sacramento Cal Expo Reviews (1)

To address the first issue of the dining table - The dinette table design from the manufacturer of the trailer uses hinges on the wall and brackets on the table to attach the table when in use for eating with one table leg at the opposite end. The table then detaches from the wall, the table legs...

bend under, and the table sits between the 2 bench seats to form a bed. The manufacturer design of the table makes it shaky if pushed on from either side of the table. The table itself is sound at approx. 1” thick, but if a customer is rough with the table, it will cause it to break loose from the wall. The customer was made aware of this and advised to be careful with the table. When the customer took possession of the unit, the table was not broken or damaged. The area that the customer damaged was on the underside of the table where the brackets are attached. The charges for repairing the table come from the customer's attempted repairs of the table. There was a massive amount of Gorilla Glue applied under the table in an attempt to reattached the brackets underneath, ruining the finish of the table, making it visibly undesirable. The labor and materials charged to the customer are to clean the glue off, sand down any remnants, and apply a new backing on the table to make it presentable for future rentals or resale. If a customer has any issues with the rental units after business hours, we have an emergency contact email that the customer can use for any concerns, questions, or emergencies, which was not utilized by the customer. To address the second issue of the pet cleaning fee - It is our policy that pets are not allowed inside of the rental units. The customer signed the Rental Terms & Conditions before leaving with the unit that clearly states there will be a sanitation fee if any pets are brought into the units. I have attached a copy of the signed Rental Terms & Conditions.  In this same Rental Terms & Conditions, it states that we have 5 business days to refund the security deposit put down for the trailer PROVIDED that the unit is clean and there are no damages. In the time that the customer brought back the unit and contact was made with the customer, we were gathering information needed to address the issues found and give a proper estimate.  Since speaking with the customer, there have been multiple other attempts to contact the customer to go over the findings and related charges. We have never refused a call from the customer or avoided speaking with him at any point of our business relationship. It is regrettable that issues arose with this rental as we try to make every experience with our company a pleasant one. We try to be reasonable and work with customers to resolve any problems, however, when renting a large piece of equipment, we have a responsibility to set out a clear policy that then has to be upheld. It is clearly explained to our renters that any damages to the trailer are their responsibility. The $500 security deposit referenced by the customer is a security deposit for damages. It is well understood that this amount may be forfeited in the case that repairs need to be made.
