Review: Other than the fact the parking was very limited, which can be overlooked if the hotel itself is outstanding, the room's condition was horrid. As we walked down the halls to get to our room, we found people laying on the floor eating. Space was very limited in this hotel, and the rooms were not any better. First off, the air conditioning did not work which is crucial when it is a hot, summer day in New York. We had to bend to get to the bed-bug filled beds which were about a step from the door. Everything is too close together for a comfortable, or even an average, hotel stay. The room's ceiling looked dirty, and there was a musty humid smell covering the entire hotel. All together, the nightly rate, physical condition, and location of the hotel did not add up. I would never recommend this hotel.Desired Settlement: Please I want they return my money, because I did not use the room.

Review: ON MAY the [redacted] my daughter and I flow from [redacted] to [redacted] for business. We had reserved a room in the Lexington hotel one moth in advance, so we'll be organized when we arrive in [redacted] and our trip will be without any problem When we arrived to ** we went directly to hotel Lexington where we had reserved the room a month ago. We were extremely tiered after the long trip from [redacted] to [redacted] which was a 6 hours flight. We just wanted to go to sleep and leave the hotel the next day early in the morning. We checked in and went to our room. Since we were too tired, we went directly to bed and did not pay any attention to the size of the room, the bed, the TV, or the window. All we needed was a good night sleep and rest for the night. Unlike what Mr. P[redacted] untruly claims that we complained about the size of the window and the TV and all other excuse so he can justly the ants in his unhealthy hotel room. As we started lying on our beds to go to sleep, my daughter said daddy there are ants in this room and I cannot sleep. We called the front desk and Dasiy answered the phone and she said that she will send some to the room to clean up the aunts. We waited for a while and no one showed up! We made another call (second time) to the front desk and Dasiy picked up the phone again. This time she offered another room to us but the room was a smoker room and we cannot sleep in a smoker room. She said will send someone to clean the room, no one showed up. We called again for the third time. This time a man by name Sheldon picked up the phone since Daisys shift was over. He rudely said that he doesn't have anybody to clean up the aunts and we can leave the hotel if we wanted to. We went down the stair to the front desk and I demand for my refund back. Sheldon would not give us our money back and he said that the hotels manager will take care of it for us and will give us our money back tomorrow (the next day). We asked him to give us a paper or a piece of document stating that .Desired Settlement: we need our refund.Lexington inn was not healthy room with all ants.

Review: Dear Sir/Madam,

On July [redacted] 2014 due to bad weather, my flight was delayed and I had to stay overnight in New York.

My daughter used her debit card to secure a room for me in "The Lexington Inn at JFK" , on Jamaica Avenue near JFK airport.

When I checked in around midnight, I was asked to pay cash for my room, which I did. I was not given a receipt and due to the late hour and exhaustion from waiting at the airport all day, I did not notice.

On the [redacted] July 2014 my daughter's card was charged with the amount $290.38 for Lexington Inn.

She called the hotel the next day to be told that the [redacted] had received her emails and saw that a mistake had been made and was resolving it.

After numerous follow up calls and being repetitively told that the [redacted] was dealing with it.

rang again - different person - another promise -

rang again -

and again -

and again-

and it still one month after hasn't been resolved.

The [redacted] was never available to take a call, being told he comes in at 5pm, and then once calling at 5pm being told he was not there again, giving us the feeling that we were being shrugged off.

We also contacted the corporate office on the [redacted] July 2014 without receiving a single reply

There can be NO GOOD REASON for this !

This is very disappointing behaviour from any business.

It was my first time in New York City and due to the bad weather and very late hour I was vunerable and I feel these people took advantage of this - what else can I think? From my experience any legitimate business would be anxious to rectify their clients concerns.Desired Settlement: Besides a refund of the money wrongly debited from my daughters account, I would also like "The Lexington Inn at JFK" to treat their customers better. As an airport hotel for JFK it should be part of their business to make people feel welcome to New York. I have never experienced this behaviour in any hotel before or in any business for that matter, and it leaves me with a very bad memory of my one night in New York City. I'm sure if I had stayed in any other NYC hotel I wouldn't have had this problem . If the [redacted] doesn't find it important enough to follow up on someone being wrongly charged, he should allow his staff to deal with it. As his staff members told us that they were not allowed to access the files as they were locked in his office.

This has caused us unnecessary stress and we hope that nobody else has to have this bad experience.

Review: I booked this hotel via [redacted] on Wednesday, June **, 2014. I provided all the pertinent information to the 1-800 used and what I needed it. I booked at the Lexington Inn in Jamaica, NY for 2 queen beds and 1 roll a bed since they were 3 kids and 2 adults, all females. They booked me for the above til Friday june ** and on that date, june ** til june **, 2014, they booked me on a king size bed with 2 roll a bed. however, [redacted] placed me on a long hold via cell phone and later came back to advise me that it had to be booked that way and that the hotel will allow me to stay in the same room from Wednesday til Saturday june **, 2014. however, they had 2 give me 2 reservations, which I have. we prepaid for the entire stay approx. $479. We arrived later that afternoon, placed our luggages inside the room and left, since we just got to new York. We got back later at night and view the room not to have queen beds nor a roll a bed. In fact, it had 2 full size beds. I made contact with the night manager which showed not one bit of caring of what was going on. he said that the roller bed are first come first basis and didn't have anymore. I made contact with [redacted] who originally booked my hotel and they apologized for what happened, I also advised them that they didn't show me to have 3 kids and 2 adults either. then they send me another email, showing on the guest notes what I need to have as per the night manager. Then, on Friday, June **, 2014, we left sometime around 1**0ish in the morning. The front staff saw us at the dining room eating breakfast and no one said anything. I assumed that the booking agency took care of us not changing rooms since we were staying until Saturday june **, 2014. Front people didn't say anything to us, in fact, the cleaning ladies gave us towels 'cause we asked them not to clean the room but that we only needed towels. So we left and came back around 1030ish at night. When we came back, a lady, very very rude even when the police was called..Desired Settlement: I would to be refunded for the nights, for the embarrassment, time, and suffering and would like to see a policy or something in regards for hotels not touching the people's stuff. to finish above...she stated that our stuff is sitting behind them cause they checked us out of the room. I was very upset 'cause our stuff where in big black trash bags and found some of my items on the floor. when we searched the bags, we found a old navy bag with brand new clothes..I ran out of space for my complt

Review: I reserved a room at a hotel that was advertised to be an upscale property I arrived signed for my room and it was down hill from that moment on, I went to my room and found that I did not have the roll away bed requested I then went and spoke with the agent on duty and was informed they did not have any but he could give me a sheet and blanket for my child to sleep on the floor if I wanted one at this point I asked for another room he state none were available , I then stated that I was willing to stay one night because it was so late but I wanted a refund for the remainder of my stay he then stated no refunds tired and bewildered I went back to my room to try and figure out what to do next . after further assessment of my room I found numerous issues and problems the sheets had cigarette hole in them the blanket had stains the curtains had stains the shades had holes in them one lamp had no bulb the phones in my room didnnt work the sink was stopped up the carpet had stains and smelled bad the curtains at the window was hanging off the ice machine in the hall didn't work the elevator was filthy among numerous other thingDesired Settlement: I would like a refund
