Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:If the menu on the website has the correct prices, why was I charged an additional $2-$above that price? I still have the menu that I printed out that morning from the website and can prove that I was grossly overcharged Prices need to be posted and adhered to As a matter of fact, their website as of right now has the same prices on it as the one I printed out and had with me on 12/9/Changing your prices every other day is a very dishonest way of doing business. By again stating that other customers helped me, it is now clear to me that this owner does not remember my situation The only other customers in the shop at the time of my visit were sitting and eating NO ONE of them ever spoke to me or assisted me when assistance wasn't needed I'm quite aware of how ordering at a sandwich shop worksI visited this shop one time previously and did not have any problems ordering or pricing I have no problem at all with confrontation and would gladly tell someone off if they butted in to my business Again, since I had no contact with other customers, it's quite obvious that this owner is confused and lying about what happened.Again, I was not happy with their scam of changing prices on a whim and not honoring coupons I did NOT say it was OK, did NOT say to have a good day, and did NOT say they would ever see me again The owner clearly has blinders on or is confusing me with another customer because what he is describing did not occur with me.I will once again repeat that there were NO signs on the date of my visit stating the coupon would not be honored If there had been signs, this could've all been avoided since I would've turned around and left before placing an order Perhaps he now posted signs after my visit since I called him out on it?The business mentions the white menu board above the counterThere are very few of the sandwiches listed there and the ones that I ordered were nowhere to be seen I have already contested the charge with the credit card company and won He also mentions what do I "want to move forward"It would be nice to have "a correct website" and pricing, to have all sandwiches and prices listed in plain view for a customer to see, and if there is a problem with an advertisement or a coupon it is "posted" where customers can see to avoid an uncomfortable situation in his shop A business that cared about it's customers would've gladly honored the prices on their website and the coupon with their name on it There's nothing that can be done about it now I just want the Revdex.com and future customers to be aware of the dishonest business practices taking place at this shop

[redacted]I never did receive any notification that the business had responded.  If I had, I most definitely would have responded since just about everything the business said is a lie.  I will write my rebuttal below.  Thank you for your assistance in allowing me to respond.1.  If the business states that the menu that I had was from 2012, then why is that menu still on their website?  I printed the menu from their website the morning of 12/9/15.  A 2012 menu should not still be on their website in 2015.  If they can't maintain their website, perhaps they shouldn't have one?  Having a website with prices from 2012 is false advertising. The menu on website has the correct prices, except for 1 section that is under construction, and the prices are in bold lettering on our 4 ft by 3 ft chalkboards above the cash register. Also on our website it states that prices are subject to change due to market prices and also says that on our special boards which are written on the glass also right were the cash register is. Also the menus that are next to cash register and the ones we hand out everyday have the correct prices on them. I can assure you that I am a very honest business man and being accused of intentionally false advertising is very hurtful. 2.  I was never "confused" as to how things worked at the shop.  Also, no other customers tried to help me because if they did, I would've told them to mind their own business.  I am very aware of how everything works in the business world and do not need assistance from anyone.  I know that the business owner, to use his own words, "needs to be a man" and honor the prices on his website.  He seems to be using the old school scam of "bait and switch" by advertising lower prices and coupons and then giving customers a nasty surprise at the cash register by raising the prices and not honoring coupons. Our customers are very loyal and we have a very good following. Are reviews are 5 stars across the board on all social media sites. [redacted] didn't know were or how to order so 2 of our customers just were trying to help him. He didn't tell them to mind there own business cause its apparent he doesn't like confrontation except on social media cause he acted fine when he left. As far as honoring prices and coupons the only thing he questioned when he was here was the coupons which I explained was a scam from the Entertainment Guide and he didn't seem bothered at all and was very understanding that is  why I didn't need to point out the sign right next to register or the one right next to front door when you come in. 3.  He also states that he put up a sign saying the [redacted] coupon would not be honored.  There is no such sign and that is a boldface lie.  If there had been a sign, I would've turned around and left before ordering and this whole situation could've been avoided. There is in fact 2 signs. One next to cash register and one on front window next to door our guest come in. Once again I am being told I lied, very hurtful.4.  When I'm not happy, I let everyone know and most certainly do not need to hide behind social media.  He knew I was not happy well before I ever left the shop.  Everything he has said is a lie - I never said I understood, never said it was OK, never said to have a good day, and most certainly never said he would see me again.  He seems to be living in a world with blinders on.  This is the age of social media and everyone posts their experiences on it whether it be good or bad.  If he wants to advertise false prices on the website and not honor coupons, people should know about it.  I wish I had known about it before I visited! Once again telling me I lie ? I learned along time ago there is 3 sides to every story mine, his and the truth. Well at this point everything I am saying is true and I don't have time for people who don't have anything better to do with there time. If he let everyone know when he is not happy then why didn't he say that at the shop instead of saying its OK, have a good day and see you again ?I love all feedback from social media especially things that can help me a better business owner. If what he was saying is true why after 3 years of business this is first Im hearing about it ?5.  Absolutely everything I've said is 100% fact.  Nothing is a lie and nothing is nasty.  I just tell it like it is. Don't know what more to say but how can we get this resolved as fast as possible for I don't have the time to go back and forth with she said he said crap. I am a hard working HONEST business man and love to take care of my guests and give them what they want and if [redacted] would of TELL IT LIKE IT IS at the shop this wouldn't have been a waste of my time and the Revdex.com (for I would of explained things to him in a way he could of better understood) Please let me know what [redacted] needs to move forward  for I would never want one of our Guests to be dissatisfiedThanks again,[redacted]

My Response: The Italian Beef is on Website that is under construction and [redacted] that is linked to the website is the same menu that I am having worked on because like the company's name that says a lot about me is 'm Old School and have someone else other than me is working on this project....

As far as printed menu goes the one that [redacted] had was one from when we opened in 2012 with non updated prices. We have signs at Old School Sandwich Company on the menus and counter were the cash register is where is guest pay that state Prices are Subject to Change due to Market, Feel free to ask the Chef. As soon as got the complaint from [redacted] on [redacted] as within the 4 hour even made the signs bigger to help those that may not pay attention to everything and have blinders on. As far as the [redacted] coupons go in 2013 after we opened 6 months earlier, as you can understand everyone wanted us to advertise and spend money with their company so we can get more business. Well needless to say we didn't have the money for we are a Mom and Pop business trying to make ends meet so we didn't advertise and to this point 3 years later don't still. We had a visitor from the [redacted] coupon book that spoke with for a three minutes as she tried to sell me on it and told her that the only way I would consider anyway of me doing business with her was she would send me a sample of what they do for other restaurants and could look it over and get back to her. She proceeded to tell me that that is ok and took my email and would get back to me next week. Well I never received nor did really care about it for I'm to busy with the shop so just forgot. Well 3 months later 2 very nice customers came in and handed me a coupon from the entertainment guide for buy 1 get second 4 off. was very confused? I looked at it and told them I never authorized this coupon to happen and told them I was very sorry and would get to bottom of it tomorrow. Well I honored it any way because felt bad for the nice people that they purchased a book of coupons and they were fake. They ate we discussed it more and left me a nice tip and still see them from time to time. Well the next day followed up trying to get in touch with this [redacted] Coupon Book. Well needless to say after searching for a number to get in touch with them finally found number and called. They gave me the number of the woman and said she would have to clarify the coupon with me for they had nothing signed that would say agreed to the coupon. called the woman and she apologized and said there must have been some mix up and didn't have to honor them. I said a wasn't going to anyway but what should tell my customers for was the one going to look bad about it? She said put up a sign and blame it on them and would be fine. So at that point did. also asked her to take me out of book asap and she said they were already printed and distributed so her hands were tied so just put up that sign, So since all began almost 3 years ago have had about 2 dozen of these coupons so about 3 per year and everyone that explained this matter to and showed them the sign was very happy with the exception of [redacted] as he stated. When he came in on the 9 he looked very confused on how things worked at Old School Sandwich Company and we were very busy at the time so myself and other customers tried to help him and he seemed very appreciative toward us. Well he got thru the line and to cash register and he questioned my cashier about the coupon. She directed him to me immediately and explained that the [redacted] made a mistake and we didn't except them. He totally seemed fine when he said that's ok and was even about to give him a bag of chips but when he said Have a good day and no problem at all didn't ask. I said thanks sir and hope to see you again soon and he said sure thing. When he left assumed to think there was no problem at all until check my [redacted] account for all the great comments we get every day for one of my other employees got [redacted] and Instagram working again for me and does great for business. Looks like he walked right outside and said a bunch of untrue nasty things about our business that we work hard for and everyone in the Valley will attest for. As for that feel that owe [redacted] nothing and all my customers will tell you that I am a honest man and take care of all my customers equally and if [redacted] had a problem with the prices and the coupon why did he let myself and everyone assume that everything was ok, spoke with him and gave him every chance to speak up like a man and state his case. Instead he hid behind social media and talked false things about Old School Sandwich Company and employees. Seems like everyone is quick to Judge people and create falsehoods on this thing we call [redacted]? I think if we all spoke to one and other face to face there wouldn't be such a book and things would be a lot simpler with everyone. If [redacted] discussed this with me when I gave him the opportunity this could of all been avoided and possibly got another new customer that would definitely love. Instead have someone mad at me for trying to run a business the Old School way-honest.  Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
If the menu on the website has the correct prices, why was I charged an additional $2-$3 above that price?  I still have the menu that I printed out that morning from the website and can prove that I was grossly overcharged.  Prices need to be posted and adhered to.  As a matter of fact, their website as of right now has the same prices on it as the one I printed out and had with me on 12/9/15. Changing your prices every other day is a very dishonest way of doing business.
By again stating that other customers helped me, it is now clear to me that this owner does not remember my situation.  The only other customers in the shop at the time of my visit were sitting and eating.  NO ONE of them ever spoke to me or assisted me when assistance wasn't needed.  I'm quite aware of how ordering at a sandwich shop works. I visited this shop one time previously and did not have any problems ordering or pricing.  I have no problem at all with confrontation and would gladly tell someone off if they butted in to my business.  Again, since I had no contact with other customers, it's quite obvious that this owner is confused and lying about what happened.
Again, I was not happy with their scam of changing prices on a whim and not honoring coupons.  I did NOT say it was OK, did NOT say to have a good day, and did NOT say they would ever see me again.  The owner clearly has blinders on or is confusing me with another customer because what he is describing did not occur with me.
I will once again repeat that there were NO signs on the date of my visit stating the coupon would not be honored.  If there had been signs, this could've all been avoided since I would've turned around and left before placing an order.  Perhaps he now posted signs after my visit since I called him out on it?
The business mentions the white menu board above the counter. There are very few of the sandwiches listed there and the ones that I ordered were nowhere to be seen.  I have already contested the charge with the credit card company and won.  He also mentions what do I "want to move forward". It would be nice to have "a correct website" and pricing, to have all sandwiches and prices listed in plain view for a customer to see, and if there is a problem with an advertisement or a coupon it is "posted" where customers can see to avoid an uncomfortable situation in his shop.  A business that cared about it's customers would've gladly honored the prices on their website and the coupon with their name on it.  There's nothing that can be done about it now.  I just want the Revdex.com and future customers to be aware of the dishonest business practices taking place at this shop.
