LI Conservatory

Review: This is [redacted] and [redacted], who were the full-time students of ESL program in Long Island Conservatory(LISMA), from FEB to MAY 2014. This school require students to pay the 2014 Fall Semester tuition fee in advance. So we paid at $1870 for each (Total:$3740)on May *,2014 for the next fall semester. However, we decided to end study here because both of us need to attend a school which is more focus on the academic level. Therefore, We claimed the fully refund on AUG ** in case to ahead of the fall semester started so that we can get our fully refund back. However, they refused us firmly at first. Because they told us we should pay the summer school tuition first at $450 for each, otherwise, they won’t return our refund. Thus ,we felt very unfair and disappoint for their hard sell. Because we didn’t attend any summer school courses at this school during this June. The most unacceptable thing is they didn’t inform us to come the summer school deliberately. They told us there was unnecessary for both of us to attend it, because it only suited for some students need to make up their credit for the last semester. Because we didn’t attend it during this summer,so we refused their irrational requirement. Then they forced us to pay the $900 tuition fee for the next year or the next any year summer courses as the prerequisite of returning our 2014 Fall tuition refund. They don’t care whether we will attend or really need it ,they only cares to get the deduction from us. They just told us if we don’t accept their requirement, there is no chance we can get our refund. We were forced to accept this unfair deduction on SEP **. They promised to return the money within 3 weeks. But after 3 weeks, we still haven’t received any money from this school. So we came to their school again and asked why they still keep our refund on their school. They just told us the transaction never gone through and the transaction status still being unverified(from SEP ** to 0CT *). When we heard about this,we felt so disappointed and unfair about their deceive behavior and unprofessional administration management. The intentionally refund delay and from this school already harmed our customer rights and also caused our financial loss.Desired Settlement: Please return the full refund to us t before October **,2014. We also want the School apologize to us and compensation from the school.
