Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because MrLIberator and his business are directly responsible for the damage sustained to my vehicleMrShawn L*** stated he is not interested in reimbursing me due to the fact he's positive the damage was not done at his establishment The fact remains that the truck was driven about miles to his business with no problems with the rear end or brakes; the vehicle had passed inspection just a few days prior Then as MrLiberator noted in his statement that as he was driving the vehicle on his business property, he heard a bang Common sense would tell someone that if he/she hears a bang while driving a vehicle that there is a possibility that he/she hit something MrLiberator admitted that the vehicle would not move under its own power after he heard the bang, and while in the middle of his business's driveway After this time, the vehicle had a dented rear differential cover, a crushed brake line, a broken axle, broken gear, and was leaking gear oil, along with interior damage consistent with the cover making contacting with the gears With all of this damage, it is perfectly clear that the damage occurred at Liberator Performance while MrShawn Liberator was driving the vehicle The vehicle had to be towed after MrLIberator operated the vehicle on his propertyRegards,

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
In the response from Liberator, Shawn admits to driving the truck when it was damaged.  On the January 7th phone call with me, he mentioned that while backing up he heard a bang and the truck would not move, and the rear went out.  This is consistent with the damage done to the truck, as the rear cover was dented into the gears, a hole was torn into the cover, and gear oil was leaking out.  The photographs clearly showed this.  In addition, a brake line across the back of back rear was crushed.  This damage would not have been done going forward, and would have had to be done backing up.
Liberator's June 5th reply was that the plow was rebuilt and placed on the truck where it was parked.  For some unknown reason, Liberator states it was driven to the front of his shop.  I question why, as there would have been no need to move the truck.  The comment was that the truck went bang and would not move under its own power, then Shawn put it in 4 wheel drive and drove another 400 to 500 feet from where the noise occurred.  This could have caused further damage.  It is a fact that the rear cover and rear brake line were crushed.  This could have only occurred while backing up and when the rear cover was crushed in, it jammed the gears of the rear differential causing a broken axle and gears.  The brake line was also crushed, not allowing the one side of the brakes to work.
After seeing the damage while getting my truck towed, my neighbor Doug and I looked around and thought it was possible that the truck may have been backed into the large partially snow covered rocks around the edge of Liberator's parking lot.  When the truck was driven to the shop about 17 miles, there were no problems with brakes or the rear end.  The drive includes going up and down the mountain on Route 34 as well as driving on Highway 81.  I experienced no problems with my travel from my Marysville home to LIberator's Carlisle business.
Liberator further states the truck was very old and in less than poor condition.  I take care and maintain my equipment and have other trucks older than this one.  I feel the older trucks were built better.  Also, the truck was inspected just a few days prior to coming to LIberator.  LIberator's assessment of the condition of my truck after only driving it a few hundred feet and then damaging it is disturbing.  Liberator's statement of "less than poor condition" is based on the damage Shawn LIberator caused to my truck while driving it.  The truck had all the damage repaired that was done by Shawn Liberator, and is again in good working order.  At no time has Shawn LIberator made an offer to reimburse the cost of the repairs.
Considering that my truck sustained damage while in LIberator's care and had absolutely no rear end issues prior places responsibility for the damage on Liberator.  Respectfully request LIberator reimburse me the $679.87 for the repair costs associated with the damage this business made to my truck.

Review: Truck got a spray-on bed liner done by Liberator Performance. I paid for the service to be done over the phone due to the fact that it is an hour drive from me and I had to pick it up after business hours that day. When I picked up my truck I saw the bedliner had runs all down the side of the bed from the paint running the whole way along the inside of the bed. There is also a corner peeling up on the tailgate, the edges on the bed liner on the tops of my bed rails are choppy and not neat, and there is some spots on the wheel wells that you can see paint through. I took the truck home and called Liberator and left a message for them to call me back ASAP on Monday morning so I could talk to them about the problem. Monday afternoon comes and I still hadnt heard back from them so I called again and had to leave another message asking them to call me back. Expecting that they wouldnt call me back I had my boyfriend call up and he had to leave his name and number on the answering machine, since they didnt answer, like usually happened. About 1pm on monday afternoon my boyfriend got a call back from them, so he talked to them and told them the problem and the guy from liberator told him that we can come back up and we can work out a deal and he will compensate. So I called Liberator yesterday to find out the hours that the owner would be in so I could go talk to him to make a plan. I left a mesaage since it was sunday asking him to call me back monday morning when he got into the shop. They open at 8am so at 10am this morning I still didnt hear back from him so I called him again and left another message to call me back. At about 10:30am he called me back and told me the hours he would most likely be in this week and I asked about how long it'd take to fix it. He told me that it'll take about 2 f[redacted]g weeks to strip the bed and redo it. I said ok and hung up. Later today my boyfriend called to see what kind of compensation he was thinking since I forgot to ask. When he called, the guy told him 2-3 weeks to fix my truck and he wont give me any money back, or he will give me $100 to do nothing to my truck, when I couldve done a better quality job with a spray can. He ended up getting smart with my boyfriend telling him that [redacted] wont return a propane tank if it leaks so why should he give me a refund on my truck. The owner was very rude and wouldnt let either one of us get a word in when we talked to him.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $530

Review: After calling to have a snow plow rebuilt, I delivered truck and snow plow to Liberator Performance on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Truck was driven from our home to the business with no problems, and had been inspected just days prior. Truck was at Liberator for snow plow rebuild, and on January 7, 2014, Shawn informed me by telephone that the snow plow was repaired but my truck's rear end went out while he was driving it. I came to the business the next day to have the truck towed as it was not driveable. I paid $848 for the sow plow rebuild. On January 8, 2014, I arrived at Liberator and noticed my truck parked out front with a puddle of gear oil beneath the rear differential, a dent in the rear differential cover, and a hole from where the gear oil was leaking. When I asked to see Shawn, I was told he wasn't there. I had truck towed to a repair shop; towing cost $230. Repair shop notified me that my truck had a broken rear axle and spider gears, a dented rear differential cover with a hole in it, and a crushed brake line that ran across the rear axle and spider gears. I had to search for parts. It took several months to obtain all parts and to have repairs done, and during that time I suffered great inconvenience in harsh winter, having to hand-shovel and snowblower my drive, as well as seek help from neighbors with their tractors. I contacted Shawn by letter sent April 7, 2014, and received no response. Total repair cost for the damages caused to my dump truck while under Liberator's care was $697.87. This does not include my manual labor performed while the truck was out of service. To date, I have received no offer from Liberator Performance to reimburse me the cost of the damages/repairs to my dump truck.Desired Settlement: [redacted] for towing on 1/8/2014 - $230A&D Auto Spider for spider gears on 2/13/2014 - $100GT [redacted] for rear axle shaft on 2/25/2014 - $91HL Clouse for labor dated 3/4/2014 - $258.87Total cost for towing and repairs: $679.87In addition, snow shoveling/plowing due to lack of use of the snow plow while truck was out of commission: 20 hours at $20 per hour = $400 labor
