Liberty Alexandria Service Station, Inc.

Review: On March 29, 2013 we took our vehicle to Liberty Alexandria Service Station, Inc. to have it inspected. We had been having problems with the truck shaking whenever you hit the brakes. The person at the service station said that we needed new motor mounts. We said that he should change them in addition to doing the inspection. Because the 29th was the last business day of the month we had to leave our vehicle and go to the DMV to get our new inspection sticker. When we returned the garage section of the service station was closed. (See attached receipt for the time.) We paid the cashier and left. Immediately we noticed that the shaking had not stopped. We returned to the service station the following day and were told that we needed a new rack and pinion and that it would cost an additional $800.00. We were told that the type of vehicle we have (Chrysler Pacifica) were not made to go beyond 100,000 miles and that we should have the repairs done and trade the van in. We believed what he told us, however, we did not have the money to get the work done. On November 5, 2013 we took our vehicle to Just Tires to have the valve replaced on one of the tires. We were told that we needed new motor mounts. We explained that we had just had them changed in March and the mechanic said that he didnt thing the work had been done. The mechanic showed us were the motor mounts go (the mount on the driver side of the vehicle was old and rusted). I called Liberty and was told to bring the vehicle back On November 7, 2013 I returned to Liberty and was told by the service station manager (Jonathan) that we should have brought the vehicle back sooner, we explained that we had come back the following day and what we were told. [redacted] then tried to tell us that motor mounts can go bad in three months and that we didnt bring the vehicle back in time. When we asked him to look at the mounts on the vehicle and that they did not look new (seven month old) he would not respond. [redacted] said that we had to talk to the manager [redacted] I left a message for her to contact me. To date she has not returned my call.Desired Settlement: I would like for Liberty to do the work the were paid to do or refund my money.

Review: Last week I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. My car tires were also losing air so I asked the mechanic to check them out also. He claimed that they were just dirty and needed to be cleaned so I had that done also. After about 2 day, I took my car onto the highway going to work and noticed that when I hit 60mph, the car and wheel now vibrate. After work,I went back to the repair shop and told him the situation. He claims that when you take the wheels off that the balance of the car is effected. This was never told to me when the repair was originally completed. I asked him to fix the problem and he continued to want to charge me for the fix. Considering that is was never a problem, I demanded that he should repair it for free. Eventually we got into an argument and I was told to go somewhere else. Angrily, I spoke to the manager in the office and he said that the mechanic will fix it and to set up an appointment with the owner. I've tried to setup the appointment for a week now and have left messages but no one has got back to me.Desired Settlement: I just want the balance on my car fixed.
