We recieved pre approval for a home om july 2019, the was subsequently denied for the loan using the same information for the preapproval. We were denied based on employment information or lack there of. however the lender knew that going in. *** knew all my employment info prior to the pre approval and said there would be a work around for it, dont worry he can close the loan. So we started looking for a home, I let him know when we did and was always up front and clear with him about everything. I was asked for provide letters as to why we had a gap in employment for so long and I did. He told my real estate agent the letters were fine and he wouldnt talk to me about them. I emailed him and messaged him and he never responded but to say they needed a signature. We were clearly denied however I feel he misled me throught the provess which led to me spending 325.00 on inspection fees. I feel they owe that back to me by not being up front and honest with me through the process.
We were very sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction with your experience and have since been in communication with you to explain why we were unable to offer you a mortgage loan product. The determining FHA Gap Employment Guidelines could not be met. An official letter of explanation will be sent from our Compliance Office today.
Furthermore, we have issued you a full refund check, 464681, in the amount of $325.00 for your expense of the home inspection and the roof inspection, which was required due to issues on the initial home inspection. The check has been sent FedEx *** to be delivered on Monday, September 9th, 2019.
