Review: I was sold ilock system with my new vehicle purchase. There was no mention of this till I was signing the contract the gentleman by the nam [redacted] and Sales person [redacted] brought this up. I did not research the product/service that was sold. I was led to believe that my insurance carrier will give me discount and it was already installed, just I have to pay the activation and service fee of $399. When I reached out to my auto insurance carrier, they dont offer any discounts and when I read the contract, ilock covers upto $1000 in case the vehicle gets stolen, rest of it covered by my insurance carrier. When I got the details I had approached the sales person [redacted], I was told that [redacted] would call me back regarding. Never got the call, frustrated I went to the dealer to discuss my issue and I was told the manager [redacted] would talk to me. When talked to him about this issue, his comment, you signed the contract and it is not refundable. Yes some of the insurers offer discount with this product. I had asked to name atleast one of the personal auto insurers that I can reach out, His response was it was some of them and he could not provide the details. Moreover, he mentioned that I got a good deal on the vehicle price they did not make enough on this deal. I dont understand what price of the vehicle and upsell product which is not what it was suppose to do bear any relationship. I was offered $170 for the unit , instead of $399, which I refused since the unit was already installed, they can only recover the price of the unit and cannot cancel the service. I dont understand, even a auto insurance if I dont like what has been underwritten, as policy holder I can cancel it.Desired Settlement: Even If I dont get a refund, I dont want others to under go this experience. We go to the dealers based on rating and review. when you get this kind of service, you feel jilted and cheated, which is not a good feeling.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have not received the refund yet, please close the complaint, once I confirm the refund has been received. Given the history it took me a week and going back dealership to get additional deposit I had paid.

Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: Unhappy - Disappointed and Angry

liberty Honda collision and The quality and customer service is very poor.

Bought a pre own [redacted] TL from LIBERTY HONDA a few years ago.. April 2012 my car was getting a new fresh paint at LIBERTY HONDA COLLISION , when I got the car back the first time the paint was rubbing off, overspray all over . They took the car back and I it got back the next day . few weeks ago I notice notice light spots around the car paint when the sun was directed towards the car. maybe( FADED ) OCT 2015 I when back to told to the General manager Mike P. about this problem and according to this General manager is normal that after a few years the paint on cars start FADED off on any brand new paint or brand NEW car.

This is a NEW fresh paint job on my [redacted], and this job was one only 3 years old. The paint looks terrible when the Sun hits it , also this General Manager says '''I see the spots !!! but is normal for me" "". come on !!! how can you say something like that..... on a brand new paint job???? by hem saying something like that he don`t know anything about cars and he just denied to do something ....

This General Manager Mike P. from LIBERTY HONDA was very rude to me when I question hem about the problem I have ,by first interrupting me and then saying "THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH , BECAUSE I`M TOO BUSY T TO STAY HERE TALKING.. And THEN HE JUST WALK AWAY..... I don`t believe this is profesional from a GENERAL MANEGER to talk to costumers rude.

According to liberty Honda Policy Collision and also says on there website ([redacted]) --IS LIFETIME WARRANTY--

Response:

Hello,we are in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. Mr [redacted] has been an excellent customer of Liberty Honda and we appreciate his business over the years. In fact Mr [redacted]purchase the vehicle we are discussing from Liberty HOnda back in 2008. He has since driven the car for over 100,000 miles.Since owning this vehicle Mr [redacted] has body repairs performed 4 times. Mr [redacted] keeps his car in wonderful condition, anyone who looks at it would be shocked to find the vehcile has traveled over 150,000 miles. Mr [redacted] did recently approach me with some apperance concerns with his vehicle. I had a hard time noticiing the spotsof concern but when point out to me I could see what he was concernened about. In April of 2013, Mr [redacted] approached me simialrly regarding some repairs he had performed in April of 2012. There was some slightbubbling in the paint and the adhesive used to secure the rear spoiler was begining to seperate slightly. I scheduled some time and preformed therepairs free of charge as these were defects in materrials or workmanship and we warranty such defects as Mr [redacted] has pointed out.The current areas of concern however are not that. If there is a problem ( a minor change in apearance can be expected in a 10 year old car with over 150,000 milescan be expecterd) we believe it do have been caused by enviornmental factors and or physical contact while cleaning or polishing was performed on the vehicle, not by a failure by Liberty Honda to do quality repairs. It is for that reason that we unable to perform the repairs requested by Mr [redacted].If yoiu have any questions or if I can be of further assistance in this matter please do not hesitate to contact me.Mike P[redacted]General ManagerLiberty Honda
