Review: I purchased a vehicle in June 2013 from Liberty Motor Cars (LMC). The contract was signed and I drove my vehicle home. Weeks later Liberty Motor Cars called me and told me that Credit Acceptance has not recieved all documents so they would like the car returned even though I was making payments. LMC then opened another acct for [redacted] and assured me everything was ok. A while after Credit Acceptance had me sign a Release and Settlement Agreement and then I was moved back to Credit Acceptance. (the Original bank). LMC assured me that they will handle the [redacted] account and close it. I continued to make payements with Credit acceptance. I didn't not make any payments to [redacted]. Several months later I saw an invoice thanking me for my July payment. I then called [redacted] and they informed me that the account had never been closed and someone was making payments to keep the account active. I then called LMC. The [redacted] told me the account is being handled and it will be closed. I asked who was making payments and she acted like she had no idea. In August 2014 I received another invoice thanking me for my payment. I called [redacted] financial 8/*/14 and thats when they started an investigation. Spoke to Dealer Compliance and was told the only way to resolve this matter was to pay off the pay off amount of $11, 111.39 because the Dealership already got paid for the account. I then proceeded to call LMC several times a week and was never called back when messages was left and or I was hung up on after holding . In FEB 2015, I went to LMC in Queens and confronted them. They did not want to speak to me in front of any other customers. I recorded the conversation and was basically told that there is an Alex taking care of this account and she is fully aware of whats going on. Monday morning, I called [redacted] Financial and spoke to them and was told that [redacted] has no knowledge of the status of the account and that LMC has not been cooperating with [redacted] Financial. I was told on 2/*/15 that [redacted] is in the process of sueing LIberty Motor Cars regarding similar situations. They informed me to file a police report, a complant with Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Finance. I have 2 Lein holders active for the same vehicle. 2010 Honda Civic. which is affecting my credit.Desired Settlement: I dont know what time of scam Liberty Motor Cars is doing or who they are doing it with but I DONT trust them with my personal Information. I want both of the accounts to be paid for. I also was a [redacted] credit monitoring account opened and paid by them. Also want my credit report issued to me every year for the next 7 years paid by them also. I would like everyone to look up the reviews online and be able to see what they have done with other peoples information.

Review: I recently purchased a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder from Liberty Motors. The company advertised that the vehicle would come with a 30 Warranty from Liberty Motors. I have had the vehicles for 18 days now and they refuse to fix the issues with the vehicle. They said that I purchased it AS IS. This is false. The vehicle has some issues and I would they should rectify them under the 30 Warranty they offer. The vehicle needs some major repairs and after putting up a $1500 down payment these problems should be rectified. This is bad business that they are promoting the 30 Warranty and not complying with that. I understand that the vehicle is used, but it should also be fixed by a professional mechanic especially when they have on the sticker on the window that it comes with the 30 Day Warranty through Liberty Motors. After the 30 Days an extended warranty if purchased will cover mechanical repairs.Desired Settlement: I would like the public to know how unsatisfactory the businesses vehicles are. I would also like the vehicle to be repaired under there 30 Day Warranty. This is false advertisement. I would never recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from them.

[redacted] and his son-in-law [redacted] were referred to us by [redacted], his daughter. She had purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo after her car got repoed that she said loved. [redacted] was on the verge of having brain surgery and needed a car. Arthur was able to get approved anywhere due to his horrendous credit issues and had no money at that point. They chose a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder with 141,000. Its a beautiful car that they loved. However, the car did not come with any warranty. After they traveled to Pennsylvania and Connecticut a few times, they suddenly wanted a 30 dealer's warranty. Cars over 100,000 miles are sold AS IS per the NY lemon law is there to protect consumers as well as DEALERS from fraudulent customers. We have reached out to [redacted] to return the car and pick another car less than 100,000 that will be covered or return the car and cancel any deals in place at no cost to him. He refuses to do so and in stead refuses to pay his registration and NY sales tax which he still owes. To see the full lemon law, go to the Attorney General's website at [redacted]

Review: I own a 2003 BMW 745LI with an outstanding loan with [redacted] as the lien holder. I made a verbal agreement about one year ago with this dealership to sell car and to give me $9000 once car is sold. I received a bad check for $3000 in September 2014. Then on 11/**/2014 they sent me a text stating that repairs where needed and 50% of the repair cost totaled $2175 and the balance due to me is $6825. I haven't seen any repair bills or proof of payment. I've made numerous calls and have been very patient but all I get is excuses.Desired Settlement: I would like money that is owed to me
