Liberty Point At Piney Green

In August, I moved out of my apartment at Liberty Pointe after a year. I was told that it would take four to six weeks to return the security deposit (which was a full months rent) as they had to check out the unit and process the payment. After six weeks, I called to inquire about the money as I had not yet received it. I was told corporate had processed it and I should see a check in the mail in the next week or two. I did not. Once again I called and was told it was likely the check had been lost in the mail. They asked if I had provided the correct forwarding address to which I answered yes, I had been receiving forwarded mail for weeks. I was then told the original check, wherever it was, could not be canceled until 30 days after its issue date, so they had to wait until the end of the week to stop that one and reissue a new check. Again, I was told I would see the check in about two weeks. It is now two and a half months from the time I moved out. I have heard nothing from the complex and have seen no check in the mail.Desired SettlementLiberty Pointe's policy for late rent checks is after five days $36.50. I would like that plus the full security deposit of $730 for a total of $766.50.
