Liberty Rehab And Patient Aid

Review: On 10/24/2015 my wife was discharged from a rehabilitation facility in Milford requiring in home oxygen for severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This determination was made by the facility and Liberty was contacted to provide the service. Liberty stated that Medicare would not reimburse them for the charges of one thousand two hundred eight dollars. I then contacted Medicare who stated that a medical necessity was not submitted by Liberty and this was necessary to process the claim. If Liberty would simply submit the necessary information, medicare would process it. I then called Liberty and spoke to the manager who stated that they would have no further dealings with medicare, that they would not submit the required information and that we should find a new provider of oxygen services. We did find another provider and there is no problem with medicare covering their services. Meanwhile Liberty keeps billing us and threatening interest charges.

Since it is Liberty at fault for not submitting the original claim to Medicare properly and then refusing to correct the deficiency, I do not feel that I am responsible for their bill.Desired Settlement: Liberty needs to supply correct information to medicare in order that their bill be paid. Both my wife and I are covered for medical expenses by Medicare and [redacted]. I should not have to pay out of pocket for service covered by my insurance due to an error of the individuals who submitted the claim
