Phenomenal service and supportI can't say enough how happy I am we went with Liberty Solar There are a ton of scammers out there who do awful work, offer terrible terms, and charge insane prices for solar They are an honest, down to earth, and wonderful family team that takes a lot of pride in what they do They came by to give us a free quote, and we had them stay for dinner...hopefully that illustrates what kind of high caliber people they are They got us the best rate, better price than anyone else who quoted us, and our project was completed quickly Fantastic!! I am a full-time first responder and also a part-time facility manager for a local non-profit so I understand what it takes to provide continual good serviceI have also been watching the solar industry for over a decade wondering when the best time to jump in would beSo my standards are pretty highI recently had Liberty Solar perform the installation of my solar panels and inverter in Richmond CAI had previously gotten quote from a major solar company (and was actually setting up contract to go with them thinking I had a great deal) when I came in contact with Liberty SolarThe consultation was phenomenal! I was treated VERY well like a family member, and not as usual like a money-betting horse (as the other company did)I also received a great education on the solar business, what it becoming, and what available options I had to me, as well as backup battery, and inverter purpose and costsIn addition they were able to replace my roof at the same time as well as the PG&E meter transfer time was so fast, it even surprised the Liberty Solar consultant!
Most importantly, it's rare to be entreated well when in money dealings these daysI couldn't be more satisfied with the expertise, service, and actual care that Liberty provided, and continues to provide now months after the installA group of excellent team members: *** *** *** *** that catered to my needs! Liberty Solar is a one man company, who subcontracts all work, from demo of old roof to install of new roof and solar install
The owner/operator knew it was going to rain on a Tuesand Thursnite, and left early to leave dweedle-dee and dweedle-dumber to tarp house, as the old roof had been stripped off They failed to properly secure tarps, and it rained and wind pulled tarps completely off, exposing my attic and ceiling to rain Then again hours later, it was forecast to rain, and again they failed to properly tarp the house, which led to exposure to heavy rain, causing over $30,in damages *** was at my home for days doing water extraction Ron Turull of Liberty Solar flat out disappeared, ceasing to communicate, despite phone calls, emails, text messages, regarding damages I incurred His bond was for only $12,and he hs NO INSURANCE!!! The moment he knew of the damages, Ron Turull, sole owner and proprietor of Liberty Solar bailed out He even faile to pay for roofing materails with materials company, of over $worth, which I was left to pay !! The guy is a fly-by-night, avoid this bum like the plague! He is under-insured, (actually none), and his bond is totally inadequate to cover loses The is no excuse for this kind of GROSS NEGLIGENCE! He never followed up to complete his solar project, so I was forced at the last minute to sign with a RESPECTED competitor Liberty Solar was the lowest bid for roof and solar install by $ Pay the extra money, get a competant roofer, properly insured and sizeable bond This guy is a total flake and borderline scammer His roofing job was described by other roofers as being "shoddy", with *** poor flashing around chimney, poor installation of new ship lap, over a hundred "shiners" left, broke rafter beams, by allowing bundles of composite shingles to fall 3-ft from comveyor belt onto edge of roof line Failure to replace rafter beams that needed replacement, because he was "too pressed for time" ?? WTH !! If you hire this guy, there better not be any chance of rain, follow his every part of roof or solar install, to insure the roof, shingles, flashing are properly installed, solar mounts are anchored to roof joices, ect He cuts corners, thats apparently how he underbids all others Pay the $1500-more, get a better roof install and a better solar install I failed to mention, he talked me out of original solar install of panels and micro inverters, to go to panels with SMA string inverters for same price However the difference between micro inverters and SMA string inverters is $2200,and he was throwing in one more $950(his price) solar panel I should have gotten two more panels for that price, not one !!! he seems to prey on the customer's lack of knowledge or expertise, to wangle a better profit for himself He may be lower, but IT'S NOT WORTH THE PRICE !! Especially considering his poor quality of work and lack of proper amount of bond or insurance
