The location I used not only violated privacy, they used spiteful tactics in front of 3 young children
I had my refund done at liberty tax at a franchise location at 263 broad street Sumter SC. Now this office screwed up my refund causing it to be delayed a minimum of 8 wks, so we have been in debate to get our prep fees back of over four hundred dollars. Now after arguing n fighting for it for months my husbands called again today. He spoke to the owner at this location who did agree to refund his prep fees but her tactics were disgusting , ignorant and spiteful. I went to pick up the check for the prep fees where I found out she record3d my husband phone conversation with her on a private cell phone device without his permission. They recorded it out of context asking him to repeat something and then recorded to where it was out of context and sounded insulting to myself. But that's not how it was said. So I had my 3 young children with me all under 10. As soon I walked in she started asking me if I knew what was said. I said yes and the other gentleman employee started playing the recording in front of my kids. I told him to stop he didn't. Then she wrote an ignorant message on the check for refund of prep fees. This is unprofessional and the fact they are recording calls is a scary thought knowing they work with such personal information.
