Libman Co Reviews (12)

In my capacity as Senior Marketing Director of The Libman Company (www.libman.com), I am reporting unauthorized activity by unidentified third parties who intended to defraud members of the public and The Libman Company during the Labor Day Weekend (Friday, September 2, through Monday, September 5, 2016) During this time period, unknown persons communicated information about Libman product offerings to websites such as yours which provide information concerning goods and services available to the public at no chargeThese websites unknowingly published inaccurate information by providing a link to The Libman Company website, and indicating inaccurately that a free Libman Nitty Gritty mop was available at no cost for any consumer who provided his or her address to The Libman Company by email to the company’s website The link circulated widely to members of the public was solely authorized for use by select subscribers to The Libman Company’s newsletter who had previously been contacted directly by email to receive a free Libman mop Once the authorized subscribers entered their requested shipping address, each subscriber received an automatic confirmation message confirming he or she would receive a free Libman mop When the link was circulated (without Libman’s knowledge or consent) to members of the public who were not among the Libman newsletter subscribers selected to receive a free mop, hundreds of thousands of consumers flooded The Libman Company’s website with requests for free mops which were not available and which cannot be economically provided The link to the Libman website has been disconnected, and consumers who were misled by the offering were given $coupons which may be used for the purchase of a Libman broom In addition, security steps have been taken at The Libman Company to reduce the risk of similar incidents of consumer fraud by third parties, and all consumer information sent in response to the nonexistent promotion has been isolated and will not be used by The Libman Company for any purposes

Our policy is to replace or refund the consumer's purchase with a receipt of said item This consumer did not have any receipts We were generous and offered to provide him with a plastic fiber broom which should offer greater durability and won't "break down" as easily on the surfaces that he must be using it on If we sent another corn broom, the same "problem" would happen We do not offer replacement heads as these brooms are not designed for replacements It is all one manufactured piece

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The September offer for the Free Libman Nitty Gritty Roller Mop can be found on sixteen pages of Google searches From what I saw starting back to September 1, That means that sixteen pages of freebie websites were advertising this Free offer If this were an "exclusively available to a select list (subscribers to our newsletter)" offer that would mean that one of the "200", "exclusively", "select", "subscribers" maliciously gave their "exclusively", "select" Free Libman Nitty Gritty Roller Mop offer Libman website link to a few hundred freebie websites The only other scenario would be that a Libman employee maliciously released to a few hundred freebie websites this "old offer" How were myself and apparently "hundreds of thousands" of other individuals able to sign up for this Free offer on the Libman website, which is supposedly an "old offer", given a "THANK YOU!" message via the Libman website and then receive a confirmation email immediately following signing up for the Free offer??? When you click on a link and if it's an old or expired offer it will usually take you to either a blank landing page or a page with a message stating that the offer has expired or is no longer valid None of which occurred It as well does not state in the header a date or year for this September Free offer which I assume if it were an "old offer" it would Why was this supposed "old offer" not taken off the Libman website??? I am requesting from Libman the original date that this "old offer" was "exclusively available" and the form in which it was sent be it email, mail or newsletter to the "select list" I once again am requesting the Free Libman Nitty Gritty Roller Mop The burden of proof lies with Libman that myself and apparently hundreds of thousands of other individuals were able to sign up for this September Free Libman Nitty Gritty Roller Mop offer, but were instead accessing an "exclusively available to a select list", "old offer" link I am respectfully requesting the proof Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I am requesting a for replacement for each of two variations of Libman brand corn brooms, which is perfectly reasonable, because: (1.) We paid money for two (2) corn brooms.(2.) I do a lot of hard work and manual labor in maintenance of the property I use the corn brooms They have the long, natural fibers, and are conducive for sweeping, assuming the integrity of the broom materials remains intact For years, I have used corn brooms, and corn brooms do the job well to completion.(3.) We would like for replacements, so I can get on with the essential work at hand. Next, is the matter of the receipts. Yes, there are receipts for these items that serve as a proof of purchases In all honesty, organization is not every persons individual strength For this reason, I have not been able to locate the receipts, though I do know that the items were newly paid for and there should be a receipt(s), but I do not have it available to me exactly at this moment In substitution for the receipt, I sent a battery of digital photographs of the products which had broken down, making sure that multiple photos should multiple angles of the products, as well as prominently showed the Libman brand stickers on the brooms, so there is no doubt these are original Libman products This was done immediately when Libman was contacted to establish my customer position and relate the construction/materials integrity problems with those brooms. Again, a for replacement has merit and is due. Because over the course of at least weeks, Libman has refused to provide for replacement of their corn broom products, I still had to finish my work, and I purchased a brand Clean X for a corn broom On its label, it promotes that this is a durable and reliable corn broom, for INDOOR and OUTDOOR use, and is backed by 100% guarantee So the Clean X brand outwardly marketed its product for its outdoor durability, and backed its product with a guarantee I wanted Libman to understand this basic consumer merchantibility and utility principles concerning its hardware, and fair customer expectations, which are an industry standard So, photos of this particular point were sent to Libman to establish the precedent and support the details of my claim. I affirm that a for replacement is due. Third, the fact that the Libman brooms come in two (2) parts and are male and female threaded, indicates that the original manufacturer of the corn broom products, manufactures both wood broom handles and corn broom straw heads, which are individually manufactured separately, and later, they are assembled through the coupling of the threading to make the complete product Somewhere in China or Mexico, the broom heads are manufactured separately, and then someone then screws the head onto the handle--thus two pieces are assembled into one finished product. Thus, my issue could be fixed by providing me with red corn broom head and green corn broom head (straw head with threading), they could then be screwed on to the exisiting handles This would produce a full and functional corn broom for the red broom and the green handle broom--the problems are thus solved.Libman's manufacturing source manufactures the corn broom heads and the corn broom handles separately, and so they can be sourced separately. For shipping, all they have to do is attach a shipping label to the broom handle with a tag and string tie to attach. I have sent many e-mails explaining this same situation without a resolution by the counterparty A refund does not really compensate me equitably for the money already spent, the time pursuing this complaint, and the stress of being given the run around, and for whatever inexplicable reason, the corporate irresponsibility in terms of both products, services, and customer value and support. As I have repeatedly stated, I need to be able to do my work, and to do my work, I need the corn brooms per a for replacement of each item I have explained how this "SOLUTION" can be pursued. If I have omitted to address any issue with specificity, that is an unintentional oversight on my part, and I encourage you to contact me the content of additional lines of questioning, if all current questions have not been exhausted in this specific matter of the corn brooms (2). Thank you. Best, Mr* * ***UCC 1-308All Rights Reserved.Without Prejudice***

Again, we require a receipt to replace product as the receipt proves that the product was purchased. We are willing to replace one product without a receipt this one time. We recommended a plastic broom because of its relative durability compared to a corn broom (but can accommodate a corn broom if that is all that will be accepted). We don't get our brooms from China or Mexico as you say, but make them here in our plant in the USA. We don't sell pieces of the broom - just the broom in its entirety. We cannot comment on any other manufacturer's warranty as that is between them and the consumer

These are pictures of the corn brooms breaking down You can see by the labels on the brooms that they are Libman brand Cannot be more clear cut that this disclosure of product information You can observe: (1.) Broken corn straws, (2.) Separation and loss of fibers, (3.) Delamination of head stitching I need a 1:replacement of the brooms Further pictures coming soon Best, Mr* * ***

Mr*** contacted The Libman Company on August 15, and shared that he had previously purchased two Libman corn brooms and that they had worn out He showed pictures to prove this He stated that he would like two new broom heads to screw onto his existing handles We
explained that (1) we don't provide replacement broom heads - only complete brooms and that (2) we require a receipt to validate purchases However, in good faith, we offered to give him one COMMERCIAL GRADE ANGLE BROOM which would hold up better with its plastic fibers than his corn broom on the outdoor surfaces that he's sweeping Or, we would refund his money if he provided receipts He would not accept either offering and wanted two new corn brooms citing that our competitor offers a free replacement We remain willing to provide him with a refund with receipt or one new broom

Over the Labor Day holiday an old offer that was exclusively available to a select list (200 subscribers to our newsletter) was released fraudulently to the public on "freebie" sites without the consent or authorization of The Libman Company. Unfortunately, we aren't able honor these sign-ups which...
