Lice Lifters

I learned about Lice Lifters after my youngest daughter was found to, at the time, have lice. I
made an appointment to have 3 heads checked. After we were thoroughly checked, we were told that nothing was found, meaning no bugs and or nits. We purchased the Mint Dentangler Spray, Lice Lifter Solution, and comb. We used the spray and wore hair in buns, braids or ponytails every single day after the visit as advised. Almost a month later I noticed a bug on same daughter again, knowing that Lice Lifters was still opened, I called and immediately made an appointment for 3 head checks again ... I figured, if it turns out to be something we get treated, if nothing then we were at least professionally checked. The VERY NEXT morning, after going through the morning spraying, brushing and doing hair routine, my daughter says to me, “Mommy, I feel something tickling me right here.” I check it out and sure enough, she had a bug. I pick it off and out in in a ziplock bag. I did not suspect it to be a louse, since we were JUST checked the night before with a fine-tooth comb. Something told me to take the bagged bug to a local exterminator to have it checked and labeled. Well, the exterminator was able to conclude, after putting it under the microscope, that it was indeed a parasitic bug, with its characteristics identical to a louse. Upon learning this, I called Lice Lifters and asked to go back for another 3 heads checked, however, this time I was not going to pay as we had just paid the night before. This decision was above the technician, so she had Lisa, the owner call me back. When she did, I explained all of the above to her. Her tone became defensive and I was told that her business was to find lice, this is how she made money. I reminded her that while her statement was true, her business had other sources of “making money” one of which was checking heads, which is the service that we had TWICE received from her company. As a courtesy she offered to check only the “infected” child.
