Licky's Tire & Lube Reviews (%countItem)

I took my car in roughly last late April , early May 2019 to have some service work done . Plugs and boots , they had said my ball joint was bad and another part . Along with I had them replace my struts . Long story short after the work was done the car kept popping in the front end after every little bump as it never did that before that time . I took it back and had complained some , so after a bit they took it it kinda looked at it and said they couldn't find anything . Then back this December the check engine light came on and I found a cut wire by the spark plug boot that looked like it belongs to a ground so when the two ends were touched the wire arched and the car wouldnt run after that so I had it towed to a shop in *** . They had gotten the car running but didnt know what the wire was to , then informed me the ball joint and one of the control arms were very bad and needed to be replaced . The very ones I had supposedly had replaced a few months before . I went in and talked to them a week ago now , and they said they couldn't look it up because they switched computer systems but they would call the parts house to see when they ordered them then call me back . Im still waiting for that call and I am done waiting . I paid to have service done and it is still broken .

Desired Outcome

Refund I want my money back or they pay another shop of my choosing to get the work done right . I paid a tad over *** cash for all the services . I want my car fixed so I can get to and from the Drs offices we have to go to every month without having to worry if the front end is going to fall out from under us .

Mr Robert *** did come in and said he had a ball joint replaced elsewhere. I did change my computer software and its hard to find old receipts. it states at the bottom of each receipt if they have any problems with workmanship they must return to us to get warranty. Also Robert was advised of this. The parts I replace usually come with a 1 year warranty or more and labor is covered for 1 year depending on the repair. He bring in his vehicle for repair and we fixed everything that we could see. he did come in recently and we did solve the noise he was talking about. It was coming from the rear of his vehicle and not the front like he has stated. Also the part that he had replaced at another shop would of been under warranty if he would of just came back and had us check it prior to him getting it fixed. there is some shops out there that just say something is bad cause they need the money. we strive on customer service also we strive on integrity. I have quit jobs in the past due to this. Integrity is everything and I apologize that it had to come to this and I have talked to Robert about it before I even knew about this case and as far as I knew it was taken care of. Thanks for your time and if you have any questions please feel free to call us. Billy

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1 I did not replace the ball joint . The business in *** advised me to contact the business where I had the work done . I did go into the shop and told the owner about the problem and he said they could re fix the ball joint excluding labor . He asked if I could give (Im Amusing it was his daugter working the front desk ) to take my information so he could try to call the parts stores to see where he purchased the parts needed . Then he said he would contact me so after a week and no response is when I contacted the Revdex.com . He in no way did any work on the rear of the car except change out a tire that I ,,, I noticed it had a split in it . The work I had done was Spark Plugs , Boots , Struts , Ball joint , control arm or what ever that is called . And lastly alignment . After words I kept going back in over a week later because the front keeps popping . The owner and help then took the car on the hoist and just looked under the hood , shook the car a little bit without taking it for a test drive . So In turn I grit my teeth and decided I will bear with it and never go back to there again . But after the car broke down in the beginning of December I found a bare wire by the sparkplug boot and had the car towed into another shop . They inturn without asking advised me of the problem of the balljoint . And again when I mentioned that I had it replaced . They asked where . When I mentioned who did it . Thats when they told me to go back in , But they at the shop had a funny look about them . But over all I paid for work to be done right and it was Not . I am stuck without my money and a car I question having to drive my daughter back and forth 100 miles to her Dr once a month one way . I want it fixed , But I Do Not Want Them To Do The Work after this . I gave them time to call me back like they said they would and they did Not .
