Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This dispute HAS BEEN settled However, the business did not represent themselves or me fairly in their description of the circumstances I was the one who called them repeatedly for the refund and those calls had not been returned In addition, there had been only ONE email sent to me regarding the verification of my address, not numerous attempts to contact me.In addition, when I was asked if they could send me MsA***'s book, I said that I already had it, and ASKED if they might consider a gift certificate to [redacted] ***'s, instead I demanded nothing In fact, I was surprised they even offered the book to me.All I ever expect from any business is to be treated fairly, to have phone calls returned in a prompt manner, and for them to fulfill their obligations without undue hassle.This was not the case here, and I had come to the point of needing to take other action to get my refund, as the polite methods of emails and phone calls went unanswered.I am not given to ignoring situations of this nature, nor am I the type of person who indiscriminately complains to the Revdex.com about problems with business entities Sincerely, [redacted]

The complainant registered for two courses provided by the Liddle Kidz Foundation to be held in Portland, OR in November 2017. We were informed by the complainant of an injury to her dog under which circumstances she was considering canceling her participation in the courses. Due to...

our refund policy, at the time of notice, funds would not have been refunded in full. However, we made a special exception as we felt for her situation. We provided her an option to receive a full refund, or be able to use the course amounts paid as a rollover to attend future courses. She told us during this call, not to provide a refund. She wished to wait and decide what she would choose to do, whether she preferred a refund or rollover for future courses. Eventually she notified us and opted for a full refund, at which time we asked to verify her mailing address to send a check from our bank. She did not reply to numerous requests to verify her address for the refund to be sent. Once we did receive her notice of address, we issued the check directly mailed from the bank. Without our knowledge the bank computer system updated her mailing address to not include a dash in the house number. With the dash missing from her address, the check did not arrive to the complainant. We were unaware that she had not received her refund check. She did not inform us that she had not received the check for a long time after it had been mailed. Once we received this notice from the complainant, we immediately checked with our bank account to realize the check had not cleared our account, and while looking into the situation we saw the mistake in the address. That check was instantly canceled and a new check sent immediately. My assistant called numerous times to inform complainant of the situation and to apologize asking her to please inform us if she did not receive the newly issued check. Due to our feeling bad about the uncontrollable delay in the refund, and her circumstances with her dog, my assistant called and asked if she would like to receive a complimentary copy of my book sent to her. She returned the call stating she already owned the book, but instead demanded a gift certificate to Trader Joe's supermarket. Although, this is highly unusual and not normally something we would be able to do within our non-profit budget - I personally paid for and asked my assistant to purchase and send a gift certificate to Trader Joe's supermarket to the complainant. It is not the policy of the Liddle Kidz Foundation to not refund someone who is entitled to a refund in a timely fashion. Due to delay caused in her not receiving the first issued refund check, once we were informed the check was not received, we made every action to remedy this quickly. We apologized to the complainant and refunded the monies paid long before this complaint was placed with the Revdex.com.
