Lido Builders

Im a 79 year-old widow living alone and feel I have been taken advantage of by Mr. Field who owns and operates Lido Builders, Northboro, MA. A project four week project has turned into over 13 months and the project is still not complete. He was stripped of his Home Improvement Registration is #XXXXXX by the state due to my complaing. He was able to continue with his Contraction Supervisor License #4375 Mr. Field has failed to perform the contracted services in a timely manner per the agreement signed on 9/24/2013. Per the agreement, the project would be completed in approximately 4 weeks from the signing date of 9/24/2013. Starting with his tardiness in obtaining the building permit, Ive had nothing but delays and excuse after excuse as to why the project has not been proceeding. Mr. Field would disappear for weeks before unexpectedly showing up to do a few more pieces of work. On one occasion, his paving contractors, [redacted] came knocking on my door demanding payment for the excavation and paving work they did on my home. I showed them the check for $7,000 I paid Bob Field and told them to get payment from him! Mr. Field was nowhere to be found!Please review the attached documents including one from my Lawyer from February 4, 2014 and my 30 Day Demand letter dated April 14, 2014. Both of which have gone un-acknowledged. Mr. Field shows up every 2 to 3 weeks to perform some small task such as dry walling the garage, or fixing the missing trim on the garage door thats been leaking cold air for 5 months during the winter or some other small task. He provides no valid reason for his inattentiveness to my contracted project. All I get are excuses. Most recently, the newly installed sidewalk and driveway have collapsed and sunken as they were prepared incorrectly. The entire sidewalk around my home (which I must use to get in the house) is unsafe for me to walk on as its uneven. Other sink holes have appeared in the two walkways I contracted him to repair.Product_Or_Service: Foundation, driveway, walkway and YardDesired SettlementI want the two walkways, drainage system and driveway replaced as all have failed within the first month of installation.
