Review: On ** May 2014 I signed a contract with a subject by the name of "[redacted]" who is a representative of the aforementioned company. The written contract depicts that my old asphalt driveway be razed and removed and that a new asphalt driveway be installed, all at a cost of $4000.00. On ** June 2014 I paid $4000.00 in advance for the aforementioned services and on ** June 2014 the above listed company began work removing my old driveway and also began laying down Belgian Blocks and an "RCA" foundation. During the course of such, a heavy machine operator for the above company inadvertently struck my adjacent garage concrete slab destroying same. I notified "[redacted]" via text message on his work phone of ###-###-#### on ** June 2014 at 1437 hours and included a photo of the damaged slab. I informed him that his workers damaged it accidentally and asked if he would repair it to which he replied "yes."

After the conclusion of this day's operations, the company returned on ** June 2014 at approximately 0939 hours to continue laying down "rca" and Belgian blocks. At the conclusion of this day I was instructed by "[redacted]" that the company would return in three or four weeks to conclude the operation with laying down black top. On ** July 2014 1303 hours I text "[redacted]" at his above listed work phone number to see which date that his company would return to complete the job. He did not reply. On * August 2014 1327 hours I generated another text message to "[redacted]" again asking when he would complete the job to which he replied "I'll let you know by Wednesday, my got [sic] tied up." "[redacted]" never contacted me that following Wednesday.

On ** August 2014 1213 hours I contacted him again inquiring when he would return and again he did not reply. On ** August 2014 1352 hours I again texted “[redacted]” asking when he would return, and he replied “I’m sorry for not getting back to you the other day, Wensday [sic] of next week.” That Wednesday arrived and no contact was made by the company and no workers arrived at my residence. I texted “[redacted]” again on ** September 2014 at1127 hours to notify him that I was going out of town and that if the work was not completed upon my arrival back in New York that I would like a refund and would hire someone else to complete the work. I received no reply.

Upon my arrival back in New York on ** September 2014 I noticed that the driveway was still incomplete and On ** September 2014 1211 hours I texted “[redacted]” requesting a refund of my $4000.00. “[redacted]” replied with “Not 4000, 22 hundred dollars is what I have to spend for the black top read the contract, read the contract.” The contract does not break down costs but merely states $4000 for black top. I also reminded “[redacted]” that his workers damaged my concrete garage slab which needed repair, but that I’m only asking for the initial $4000.00. He replied “My block top [sic] guy was out of town and he won’t b [sic] able to do it next week, is either you want to wait or I’ll give you 22 hundred back, I didn’t mess it up, are you kidding me.” Upon reading the contract the only stipulation noted in regards to property damage reads: ‘L.I.E. Fence Company Co. is not responsible for damaging sprinkler customer owned electrical fires or any item burned below grade!’

At this point “[redacted]’s” texts were becoming combative and I notified him that I would be referring the matter to civil court. I have documents of all text correspondence between myself and “[redacted]” who represents L.I.E. Fence Company. I also have a copy of the original contact as well as a receipt for the money I paid in full, in advance on ** June 2014.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $4000.00. I realize that the company did in fact install Belgian blocks and an "RCA" foundation, however they never completed the work as required after nearly 14 weeks and they also destroyed my garage concrete slab which I will have to pay someone to repair.

Review: LIE Fence company failed to make and keep appointments and would not return calls after a $1600 deposit for installation was given to them in good faith. A complaint was filed with the Dept. of Consumer Affairs and a date was set for the return of the deposit. A [redacted] check was made out and delivered to [redacted] (my wife) that was rejected as "non-negotiable by my bank.Desired Settlement: Return of $1600 deposit in cash or certified check as soon as possible.

Review: LIE Fence is a ripoff, very unprofessional, insulting, and truly Liars This may be why they are called LIE fence,

They installed railing and gate incorrectly. The gate was useless from the start, them blaming me for closing it too early, days later.

Told I got such a good deal so I should deal with it.

Once they were paid they refused to finish the job, fixing their shotty work.

They were not licensed with county They LIED

They never got a permit They lied

They have had several complaints in both our county and neighboring county

Cannot get licensed in either county because they refuse to fix the problems.

Just an abusive situation. Guy would try to taunt me then had his attorney threaten me.

They should not be in business.Desired Settlement: Refund cash
