I am rejecting this response because:We do not believe we signed anything saying that the down payment was non-refundable as we would not have agreed to itThe purchase of the home was subject to lender approval - as approval was not given, we should receive a refund of the money that was put down for a product we did not receiveIf such a document stating that the payment was non-refundable exists with my signature on it, I would like a copyAlso, as money was exchanged, we do not believe that the file about our business transaction was deleted and would like a copy of all documentation pertaining to this issue We are currently losing both time and money having to deal with this issue, and we are now filing a complaint with both the Bismarck-Mandan Homebuilders Association and the Consumer Finance and Protection Bureau as we have researched the matter and found this to be violation of the Real Estate Settlements and Procedures ActIf this matter is not resolved in an extremely timely and satisfactory manner, we will also be taking legal action as well
