We received this complaint direct from the patient father. We are not billing the family for the balance do to the circumstance. This account is closed.

insurance payment is the patient responsibility since we do not accept this insurance plan.  We billed the insurance carrier our normal charges for this type of service.  If the patient cannot pay the full balance in one payment they can contact our office and we can set them up on a reasonable payment plan. We have left messages for a call back in regards to this balance.  We have only talked to the patient when we have made contact to her. She has not returned our attempts to talk with her.

Business called consumer and left a voicemail, but that is the only communication he's had with them.

I am rejecting this response because: this is the only ambulance servicing my area and I would have gladly used another if one was available. This company is taking advantage of people by grossly overcharging for services rendered. I do not accept being charged nearly $800 when they provided a taxi service only. I was already hooked up to an IV. They did not place the IV. They did not provideo any treatment to me at all. The drove me from brunswick urgent care to Southwest general. Nothing more. That fee for a ride is astronomical to say the least!

We transported this patient from one hospital to another for further care.  We had reached out to this individual to ask if there was any insurance to be billed.  He said there was through Progressive but had not contacted them about the incident yet.  We tried calling back in August...

and left a message for a call back.  As of today we have not heard back from him.  We will be more than happy to bill his insurance for this transport if he will provide us with the information.
